This place is sort of like a supper club -- classic Wisconsin fare in a laid back atmosphere. The server was great, and the food came out quickly. I can't say enough about how amazing the fish fry was. But the real surprise was the fresh cut french fries that they cut in house and season. Just really solid all... More

This restaurant was within walking distance from our hotel, a bomus for us. Even though, they did not have a lot of choice of beers on tap, we ended up with Coronas, which was great ! We both ordered pasta, also very tasty.

Stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. Glad we did as the food was very good and the choices were somewhat unusual. For instance, the highlight of our lunch was their take on hummus. In their appetizer version they use northern beans and avocado as a base. The results were delicious. Our two entree salads were also very... More

It's hard to find; but they have 1919 on tap! Not only that but a great menu full of pastas, burgers, salads, and more! You can't go wrong here for lunch or dinner!

I rate this average based on the last couple of times that I have been there. It is a nice clean pub with good ambiance but not what it was years ago under the previous owner. It use to be hard to get a table, now you can usually seat where you'd like.

Attractive, comfortable bar/ restaurant, we were given our choice of seats, served by a new waitress ( it was her first day, obviously not her first day as a waitress). Menu varied with nice beer selection, we ordered their dark draft beer, a 1/3# hamburger with fried curds, jalapeno, and garlic with fries and salad. Beer great, shared 2, burger... More

Long time favorite place when on tour. Roomy, darn pleasant bar/main room, nice deck too. Absolutely exceptional Bloody Mary (really interesting seasonings) and the signature burger menu is just tops. We went for the Bavarian this time -- well executed burger topped with shaved prime rib on a pretzel roll. Hard to not order the blindingly wonderful Reuben this time!... More

We have gone to Don and GGs over the years when we are in the Ironwood area to cross country ski. Food is primarily sandwiches, wraps, and salads. On my most recent visit, they had added a few pasta dishes. I really enjoyed the pasta with smoked fish... a nice addition for someone who doesn't eat red meat or pasta.... More

Atmosphere of a northwoods' tavern with upmarket food. We had the whitefish special and BBQ pork, both accompanied by nicely prepared sides, grilled multi grain bread and a good salad. Good selection of beer on tap. Great service.

Tried the blackened fries and a big bowl of curry vegetable soup. What a wonderful surprise. The recipes have gotten better and better to the point where each visit is a new experience that we look forward to.
