You will love this place if you like fresh, homemade food! We have eaten here twice. The first time we had a burger and fries nd the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and gravy - exceptional! Yesterday February 17th we had the all you can eat...soup, salad and bread. Everything was so good! I especially loved the hot homemade bread. This place is not fancy, but very homey and clean and the waitresses are super sweet and attentive. I'm a bit of a food snob, so if it doesn't taste or look fresh, I generally won't give a review at all. For sure we will come back again after appointments at the VA.More

I ordered a burger and fries for pickup, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The burger and fries were hot and the staff friendly! I nice place to eat in the midst of Governor Whitless' shutdowns.

This place isn't fancy but the food is good. My husband & I stopped for lunch, I had a BLT (bacon was perfect crispness) and my husband had a reuben sandwich- both came with fries and both were very good. Then, we each ordered a...cream puff hot fudge sundae- it was huge and delicious!! We should've only ordered one and shared it. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. It was a bit busy but tables were spaced for social distancing and staff wore masks.More

Thank you for taking great care to keep your patrons safe. First restaurant that I have eaten at during pandemic that I felt I was safe at. Great soup, salad and bread. Food was fast and tasted wonderful. Thanks and see you soon.

Hubby had all you could eat walleye. Nice size salad. I had a chicken breast dinner. Like how they have the option of a lighter portions meal. Waitress was friendly, quality of food was good & for what we got I thought the prices were...great! Walking distance from the Econolodge next door too!More

We visited for an extended family celebration and decided on a breakfast entree. As seniors we tend to eat lighter, but none of the “lighter” breakfasts included eggs. We found the solution, we could order a large breakfast and split it. That’s when we learned...that they don’t allow sharing. I can understand not allowing sharing the buffet, but it not only seems greedy to say that a large entree - that has no refills cannot be shared! Not only doesn’t it make sense, Ive NEVER heard of a restaurant placing this type of restrictions on their customers - or in our case, ex-customers.More

Disappointed again at the lack of diversity which is offered at our local fare restaurants. Why can’t we offer Gluten Free or Gluten Friendly options? Storheims in Iron Mountain offers good Gluten Free bread. Other restaurants need to follow their lead or they lose out....Here is a prime example. The gluten free choice is “you can have a salad.” Stopped in for lunch. One all you can eat salad and soup and one bowl of soup and two small chunks of bread was $22.50 including tax. Would of been better off having the all you can eat salad soup combo but instead decided to pay for the bread - which normally is good- but wasn’t today. It’s just too bad you can’t go to lunch without dropping 30 bucks for lunch. The one who takes the sacrifice is the server because most seniors are not leaving tips when the bill tops 20 bucks. $2.26 for a cup of coffee?!!! We were here during the latest Romaine recall. They could of offered a buck discount for not having romaine lettuce. I’ve given this place good reviews in the past but am changing my mind this time due to the fact that they need to rise to the times and stop discriminating against those of us who choose to eat gluten free as a healthy choice.More

Their famous side salad was romaine with some grated cheese on it! The blue cheese dressing was good! Since this place is known for their bread (and I don't eat bread) I probably didn't get the most out of my experience here. From what I...saw, the other diners seemed to be having a good time though! I would still recommend this place and the burger (no bun) that I had was pretty darn tasty!!More

I had liver and onions, and before you say "Yuck" it was some of the best liver and onions I've had in a long time. The bread was very good also. I had an attentive waitress and was immediately seated. It's a popular local family...restaurant so expect kids. The do have booths away from the hustle and bustle.More
