Great beer and Great food

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon for a drink and ended up getting food as well. They have an outstanding variety of craft beer with reasonable prices. Appreciated the bartender and his recommendations which were simple and without the condesending tone of a " typical beer snob." On a side note, their happy hour prices are excellent.

My favorite brewery

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Having both high quality food and beer is uncommon, but this place has it. Their beer selection is quite vast and very pleasing to IPA lovers. Despite living more than 30 minutes away, we became mug club members as we are frequent patrons.

Best burger around!

We came for the beer but was impressed by the food! Hands down one of the best burgers ever!! Typically not a fan of tater tots as a side and these tots made me a believer. They have a large beer selection too. Can’t go wrong with this place!

Expensive and Unimpressive

This was bad. Like . . . not really bad, it was food, but it wasn't good. The staff was really disinterested, but they were somehow the best thing about lunch here. Mostly, the problem was the food. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and it was worse than anything I've ever got from Wendy's. The chicken was low quality, and so salty. The chips it came with were also so salty they were inedible. The friend got a small caesar salad with chicken on it for $13 - it was the smallest salad I have ever seen. I go to a lot of brewpubs for food, and this was among the worst. Maybe if I liked beer it would be better, but without that it's definitely not worth it.

Beers very good, food uneven

A relatively new brewery. I visited for dinner to try it out. The staff were all young people, possibly college students, but pretty well-trained. I arrived at about 5:00 pm and was shown to a large table right away. The interior is bigger than I expected, and there is outdoor seating behind. We started with the Bitterballen, sort of like hush puppies made from mashed potato, served with a spicy mustard. Those were very good. Next I had the half rack of pork ribs, which came with some cole slaw, a small dish of sweet barbecue sauce, and a large chunk of cornbread. The ribs were quite dry and tough, although the flavor was fine. There was nothing special about the sauce, but it was good for those ribs. The butter should have been room temperature instead of chilled: the cornbread was too crumbly to spread with hard butter. My companion had the fish and chips, which also came with cole slaw. The fish pieces were small instead of being a whole fillet. The chips were fine, but there weren’t many of them. For dessert we tried the “Puff” ertijes. Those turned out to be small pieces of fried dough, dusted with confectioners sugar and served with a milk chocolate sauce. They were nice and hot. The dough didn’t have much flavor on its own, but with the sugar and chocolate they tasted good. I think a dark chocolate sauce would have made the dish better. For beers we tried the Leroy Brown (a brown ale, hints of caramel), the Blue Apple Cider (sweet, strong apple flavor, almost purple color), the Michigan Amber, and a kolsch I’ve forgotten the name of. All the beers were satisfying. I would recommend the beers because there was a large variety including a shandy, several IPAs, and other styles.

Nice atmosphere questionable food quality

Good service, family friendly, food moderate. Worst wedge salad ever (to the point of food poisoning symptoms). Children’s meals were tolerable (1 slimy piece of cheese on a huge slice of bread for a grilled cheese), Reuben was served with cold meat

Wonder lil brewery

A Big night at Big Lake!

Our party of 6 enjoyed tremendously the 6 different meals and tried a number of the their beers. The food was outstanding the beer oh so good, and our servers were fun and prompt. So glad they re-opened with a flourish!

Chicken and waffles baby!

Came for a very late lunch. I can imagine it does become noisey in the evenings with the set up but it looks like a great gathering place for friends. We shared the chicken and waffles and the loaded tots. But we're very good. Would like to come again

Highly recommend

My friend and I sat at the bar for drinks and dinner and had a great time! The two gentleman bar tending had a great sense of humor and made our experience fun. We noticed all of the staff members seemed to get along and be team players. We had the pretzel w dipping sauces to start and shared a pizza with tator tots and sunny side up egg on top. They both were SO good! This place was packed and I can see why. I would definitely go back!

Great first visit

Stopped by on Sat night at 7:00 pm, seated immediately. Server Tre stopped by within 2 minutes. Tre knew the beer offerings and made some great recommendations. Drinks arrived within minutes, starters arrived within 10 minutes, entrees arrived within 20 minutes. Water, drinks, Apps, entrees, bam spot on. Server was great very attentive. A welcome surprise from the normal west Michigan Service. Overall the Service, Beer, Wine & Food were great, we’ll be back for sure.

Good food

Went with another couple. Wait time was only about 15 minutes. Once seated, took a few minutes for a waitress to stop by. Took drink order and offered recommendations for food. Brought all but one drink, and took food order. Had to flag down waitress to get still remaining drink after another 5 minutes or so. After that however everything was excellent. Quality of food and beverage selections great. Other than service a little slow, overall a very good experience and will certainly return.

Awesome!

Went for dinner and a drink. Our server Danny was helpful in choosing a couple different beers. Danny was knowledgeable about the different beers they brew and finding ones we both enjoyed just by asking what we'd drink at home. Food was fabulous, their mac and cheese was amazing. I'd go back to Holland just to go here.
