This is a true hidden gem. My wife and I eat breakfast at D’s often. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. Everything on the menu is delicious. The wait time can be long but worth every minute of waiting. If you have never need...to D’s, you are missing out!More

We have eaten at D's for years! The service has always been excellent and the food portions very genuous. The place is much nicer now that you can't smoke in it because it isn't real large and it used to get very crowded and smoky.

This is the best breakfast around. Love the coffee too! The seats at the counter are the best in the place. It is a blast to watch your food and other people's get made right in front of you. Writing this, just makes me hungry....I recommend the patty melt for lunch, it's the best around.More

D's is our favorite sunday morning breakfast place. We bribe the kids with D's when they don't feel like doing what we want to do!

D's Colonial Cafe is a cozy little place to go if you want that small, quaint, hometown atmosphere. The servers are friendly, the breakfasts are huge and very delicious. The only drawback is they close at, I think, 2 PM. So if you're looking for...a place with a great breakfast and early lunch cafe style restaurant, D's is a good choice.More

Love to have breakfast out and D's in Milford, MI is a favorite. Bring an appetite because the servings are huge. Order the pancakes (1/2 order.....a full order and you'll be looking for a place to nap) with hot butter and syrup and a full...order of their sausage. Trust me, you'll be back! Plenty of parking, little tight inside for seating, but worth the wait. Counter service in addition to tables and "Take Out" is also available. Service is friendly but do not expect food to arrive quickly if all tables are full. Worth the wait during peak meal times.More

If this review was based solely on the food, I'd easily give it a 6/5 rating. The breakfast and lunch are both very good, and fairly greasy which may be good or bad to different people. Personally I think the food couldn't be better. Unfortunately,...the service is a different story. If you get to D's during a busy time then you can expect to wait for your food for awhile, even if you can be seated right away. The grill they use, which can be seen if you sit at the bar, is not large enough to accommodate cooking food for the full restaurant so people do have to wait if the grill is full. The waitstaff have problems bringing checks in sufficient times, and will often not refill coffee very that much. They are very friendly though, and it does seem they're doing more than two or three people's work when it's very busy. It's also disappointing that they are not open for dinner, just breakfast and lunch. Through all their faults though, the food is great, the staff is nice, and for that I'm willing to deal with waiting.More
