My Favorite Restaurant

If I had to choose one restaurant to eat at for the rest of my life this would be it. All the food is warm and fresh, they were very accommodating to my food allergies, and their beans and rice are to die for. Great people, great atmosphere, and great food.

My Family was happy with the food and the service was very good and there was plenty. We all sat at a big round table. There was three adults and two kids. The server brought a kit for the kids to enjoy. Gave the kids covers for their drinks and we didn't need to ask. Very accommodating. Nice colorful decorations and we were there for a early dinner. I would return.

Four of us went for a lunch meeting and talked about our work stuff. Food was great. Two of us had burritos. We all were not disappointed with our food. The ambiance was "authentic" Tex-Mex setting. The music was awesome. Maybe, it was too loud on our side of the table. Service was excellent. I would come again. Highly recommended for everyone!!!

Quick Lunch Fantastic and Quick Service!

I was in a hurry and I didn't have to tell them - they were quick to get my order in and quick to bring it out. The nachos were terrific and the half order was just the right amount for 1 person. Also....really good salsa :)

Full filled!!!

Time being short a visit to my favorite restaurant took the back burner. Finally had the opportunity to revisit and walla everything was good again! This place NEVER fails to full fill your taste buds.

Wonderful!

Had the Chalupa and Enchilada entrees, plenty to eat and oh so tasty. So glad that we went there, good service and good reputation with the locals. They have been there 30+ years and have authentic food. No alcohol is served at this location, but there is a bar across the street if you want to go before/after dinner!

Great downtown restaurant

We enjoy eating at Mex Connection every time we are in town. Not a large menu, just the right amount for casual dining. Everything we have sampled, we have enjoyed. Wait staff is quick, efficient and thoughtful. Service is prompt with chips and salsa. Orders filled quickly and hot as expected. Drinks refilled w/o asking. Price is extremely reasonable. Nice, friendly shop.

Best food in Barry county

We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years!! The service and food is always wonderful. If traveling to Hastings this is a must stop for lunch or dinner.

Great Food for 20 Years

The Mexican Connection has stayed consistent over the years and rates highly. The Chicken Flautas with light cheese, guacamole and sour cream or the Chicken Taco Salad with guacamole and sour cream are my favorite dishes. A side of beans or guacamole and chips can round out your meal if you need more food. This is one of the top restaurants in Hastings and worth a visit. Mexican Food with a Colombian twist.

Service is fast, employees are friendly, and the food is uniformly delicious. Whether you get nachos, Mexican pizza, a chimichanga, a burrito, or anthing else on the menu it is going to be good.

Finally not busy

We've stopped here before riding motorcycles. Today was a good day, nobody was there. Got to pick our table. Got pop to drink. I got the chicken chimichanga. Came right away. It was big for just a lunch plate. It must've been good I ate the whole thing!!

“Great Gaucamole”

I have traveled to over 75 countries and we sample food from around the world. Mexican Connection makes one of the top 10 best tasting guacamole’s I have tasted. I love the Chicken Flautas with a side of guacamole. The Chicken Taco Salad is also a favorite. Cost is medium range, service is friendly and great. If your passing through Hastings or want a Mexican with a Colombian twist give this restaurant a try.
