I came here for lunch after a Pure Detroit Fisher Building Tour. I was promptly seated. My waitress had a sour attitude. I ordered the Polish plate with dill pickle soup and potato pancake instead of mashed potatoes. The dill pickle soup was decent. The Polish plate was interesting and not bad. The sausage, cabbage & sauerkraut were decent while... More

Waited a while, but it is a small place. Well worth the what. Food style is similar to my Aunt's cooking. Not quit my mom's, but good Homemade Polish cooking!

Great service, lots of good home cooking choices, good beer choices, house red wine nice, dill pickle soup wonderful. The only thing I didn't like was the perch. It was cold, greasy, and very leathery. Didn't have any taste and certainly didn't taste like perch which I love to eat. I liked all of the other choices. Prices are modest.

This place is almost hidden in the basement of an old house; not sure what to expect as we walked down the little staircase. Inside, it was packed for lunch. Dimly lit with paper lanterns strung on the ceiling. Everyone eating, drinking, being merry. Loved the mushroom soup and pickle soup. The Polish plate was a perfect way to try... More

As I walked down the stairs I wondered how a restaurant could survive such dirty steps but by the end of the meal I wondered how this restaurant wasn't listed as a historical treasure. This place is absolutely amazing. When you open the door and walk through you enter into a different world with unfamiliar sounds, interesting smells and a... More

We generally stop here whenever we come to Detroit. The food is quite good and prices are fair. This is a cute little place in the lower level of the building with traditional Polish cooking reminding me of the food we had when we were kids. I had beet soup and the goulash with noodles. The food was great and... More

I have ate many times over the last 20 year's at Polish Village, many good memories, my last carry out was not very good, and today, my meal was not very good at all. Had City Chicken, thought it was from last week, dry as can be, and tuff. Not the old melt in your mouth I remembered, not even... More
