About
Our menu reflects classic English dishes that have been influenced by the days of the British colonies in India; where colonists learned to appreciate the many spices and curries that soon worked their way back to England and onto the supper tables. So sit back, relax, have a pint and prepare to experience a menu for which the Brits would gladly cross the Atlantic! We have a main floor with a bar that is first come first serve seating and we also have an upstairs dining room that takes reservations Wednesdays through Saturdays. We have a large outdoor deck on the ground floor and a small balcony deck on the upper floor that each offer seating for dining.Saturday and Sunday we open at 10am for Brunch which is served until 3pm.Every month we have a new monthly menu on top of our everyday core menu. We also offer Daily Soups, Daily Chef Specials and a Dessert!Every month we host a beer and food pairing dinner; 39 seats available for $35/person, 5 courses all focused on one brewery!!!!

2 of us stopped by for Christmas holiday chat and found a warm, friendly place with great food (try the asparagus and mushroom dish), a great selection of local craft beers on tap and friendly staff. Bar seats, tables and booths plus an upstairs give you a good selection of places to sit. Just a few minutes from north of the downtown center. Onsite free parking available.

We probably eat here once a month and have yet to be disappointed. We have burgers, wraps, soups, sandwiches, and onion rings, with other stuff occasionally, and they are always very good. The burgers are as good as anyone's and the onion rings are the best in town (not as good as Outback's Bloomin' Onion, but........).
Service is usually pretty good and the beer list is too small for a pub in GR, but I can always find something decent.
It is a comfortable place and just seems right. If you haven't been, you should give them a shot.

We went as a group of six, and were able to eat outside on the balcony. Not super wide, but it worked for us. Our server was great. The onion ring appetizer was fantastic. They were huge and I think we got seven or eight onion rings. You can see by the picture they looked more like a big doughnut. Most people were eating outside tonight, either on the balcony, or down in the courtyard. There were very few people that ate in the restaurant, but the night was beautiful so it worked out well. One friend ordered the fish tacos and said they were the best she has had in a restaurant. Another friend ordered the special which was some sort of Reuben concoction and he said it was delicious as well. I ordered the grilled cheese, and it was good, but I’ve had better things there in the past. Several drinks were ordered, and we’re all good. By the end of the night, the boys were ordering the $3 pabst blue ribbon boots. My husband would typically not drink that, but that night it was fun.

I see all these wonderful reviews and am disappointed ours was not one of them. There were 3 adults and 3 toddlers (3 and under) We were seated quickly, got menus and water and then waited, and waited and waited to place our order. I finally had to find the server and she was clearing tables. We placed our order of 2 kid's chicken fingers, and one kid's grill cheese, a fish sandwich, chicken sandwich and a spring salad and a shrimp dish. Simply, the fish and shrimp were great, salad was ok but it had the entire top of the squash on the plate (??) and grill cheese was ok but the chicken was AWFUL. It was chicken rocks delivered to our table. Two 3 y.o. boys couldn't even bite into it and I tried to pull off the coating and eat the chicken in the sandwich, nope, So maybe the kid's chicken may be good for older kids but not for toddlers, maybe warn them to get something else. The adults have been either cooks or servers or both so we weren't being picky. Just disappointed. :(

On the way home, I stopped in here for lunch. I ordered the Crispy Fish Sandwich for my meal and the Onion Rings for the appetizer. My server said the Onion Rings are huge and suggested I switch out the French fries for Onion Rings with my meal. Great suggestion! There were only three onion rings but they were the largest onion rings I have seen or eaten. The dipping sauce was also very tasty. The Fish Sandwich was delicious and the portion size was large. They have a great selection of beers on tap and my server recommended the Upland Champagne Velvet Bohemian Lager. It was an excellent lager! My server Cassandra, was very also excellent. Overall, a great dining experience.

Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. My husband and I shared the asparagus & mushroom Diane which was fabulous. Serve over 4 slices of wonderful bread. Hearty portion for the 2 of us. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed. The chips were French fries with good crispness and flavor. I had the vegetarian hash. Perfect combination of many of my favorites. While generally not a huge fan of the vegan meat products, the vegetarian chorizo presented well in the dish. I would order it again however look forward to ordering some of their other vegetarian options. Great selection of beers -- mostly on tap. Will definitely return!

The food was delicious but the service was not great. We sat outside since it didn’t seem like a family establishment inside. The floors must be getting mopped with an old dirty mop. And the bathrooms weren’t the worst. But also, it’s a bar. Our waitress was nice but once she took our order, we didn’t see her again until we had to ask another server to have ours come back to us. It was good food but the service was frustrating.

We were in Grand Rapids on a Trader Joe’s run and saw this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Good choice! There were so many things on the menu it was hard to choose just one. My lovely wife devoured the asparagus and mushroom Diane while I had the shepherd’s pie. Both were remarkably tasty. We took an order of the goat cheese dip home. We will have to come back to sample more of the menu!

After hearing people have about Graydon's one day, a restaurant we had intended to visit was too crowded and noisy, so wife suggested we try "that Irish pub you've been talking about. Seeing their Fish and Chips advertised outside, we thought we'd give it a try. I love onion rings so we had to give them a try too. Oh my goodness, I thought they accidentally brought us doughnuts! Those onion rings are huge! And good!! By the way, we now have a new 'favorite fish and chips' restaurant. Next, I've gotta try Dry Aged Burger!

We stopped here because it was close to an electric car charger. They have lots of beers, and a full bar. I didn't eat, but my wife did and she thought the soup was excellent. Service was perfect. We'll head back here when we get a chance.
We could connect to the wifi, but it didn't work.

Love siting at the bar. Usually great bartenders. The menu has changed and we reall6 miss the potato pancakes. Sadly it has been very crowded on our last few visits and the bloody Mary wasn't quite as good. But still a great place to go.

We have eaten here twice since they reopened and they have not missed a beat. The beer list could be better, but they have a good ambiance for a pub and the food is excellent. Not fancy, but the burgers are as good as any in the area, the fries are really good and the onion rings are ridiculous. My wife has had the fish and chips a couple of times and liked them. I have have other sandwiches and am always satisfied. Service is good and pretty much the way you would expect. The prices are on the high side for this food, but not much.

I really enjoyed the Michigan reisling wine. Wednesdays are half off glasses of wine. Generous pours. I very much loved The Onion rings. They are huge. The side Gorgonzola salad was excellent also. Great service.

It's a bit away from the downtown area, but in a quiet neighborhood with some tasty options, including for vegetarians. I would recommend the falafel sliders. Very tasty!
