It had been a while since I'd been to Jamaican Dave's and I wanted to see what the new place was like. I had an order of Curried Chicken, with rice and peas, slaw, a plantain, and a festival for $8.50...it's a lot of food. It was good, but could have been better and it took a while...I was there... This is the first time I have ever had Jamaican style jerk chicken that was bland and lacking in flavor. There was some sort of sweet sauce drizzled on top but that did little to make up for the lack of a good, spicy, jerk marinade. The skin was also burnt and the peas & rice were mushy and also... This is really a take out place now, but they are moving soon to South Division, so it will be interesting to see what the future holds. You get a really tasty authentic meal with sides (rice, fritters, cole slaw & plantains) for about $10. Loved the curried goat and friends liked their chicken dishes. Lots of food, enough left... Do not go there. Filthy!!!!! Didn't even eat 90% of food after my wife went to the bathroom. Shared with the owner, so he just checked us out, charged full price and was rude when there was not a tip as we left.

This place has great food. The restaurant is not viewable from the street. But if you are seeking to try some Jamaican food, this is the place to go.

As a Jamaican who cannot prepare Jamaican dishes, dining at Jamaican Dave's is like being home...away from home. I appreciate the portion and the price; but most of all, I love the flavor.

The food reminded me of our trip to St Lucia, with the plantains and seasonings. You get a lot of food for your money and we could have split a dish between us. I ordered the goat curry which was nice and tasty, my wife had jerk chicken which was awesome. I'm getting the chicken next time as it was... More

We recently returned from a trip to Jamaica. And I was looking for a place to find the Jamaican soda – Ting- and Jamaican food. I found this place when I googled Jamaican food. Great find! Although it is tucked away way in the back of the strip mall we found it the other day at lunch time. The owner... More

Kind of hard to find, but well worth it. I typically get the jerk chicken with the rice and beans, festivals and plantains which are all outstanding. I have also talked to other people who say the oxtail and curried goat are really good as well, but I haven't personally had it yet. This place is a family favorite.

The food was amazing. Don't let the strip mall atmosphere and small menu keep you away! I had the curried chicken and the portion was huge. I don't like spicy food, so I didn't order the jerked chicken, but I tried my husband's jerked chicken and it was very flavorful and mild. The festivals (corn fritters) were sweet and crisp... More
