We went here in between a wedding and reception. The service was fantastic and we have some appetizers. I highly recommend the Ruben rules and the truffle fries. Very very good food.

As out-of-towners, we had trouble finding the place - beginning with the directionally-impaired driver and almost ending with the north end of Bridge Street changing into Michigan Street. It was worth the effort. Ambience: Located in a bar/restaurant area, O'Toole's Public House is Irish-oriented without being a niche watering hole. It offers self-serve patio dining/drinking. Menu: Typical pub grub. Vegetarian had a grilled/melted cheese sandwich. It was fine. Alcohol: Fairly wide range of hard liquor and beers & wines. Decent selection of Irish whiskeys - particularly if one is into the very popular Jameson. (We aren't.) Don't remember what we ordered. Service: Service is limited to inside the bar. They may be a little short handed, but it was hard to tell. Our server used the excuse she was new for not knowing more than two or three Irish whiskeys at the bar. I had to get up and get the full range from the bar tender, who was very helpful.

We stopped here because we didn't want to wait at Butcher's Union. It was good down home food, I really enjoyed my burger. Cute little pub to hang out in!

Called and made reservations but when arrived they didn't seem to know what we were talking about. No worries got a table right away. Food was fair, tater tots were good and probably the best part of the visit. Service was awful. Had to get my own silverware and plates, didn't see the sign that said get your own. Will not be visiting this establishment again

The food and service was phenomenal. It is a very comfortable space as you get peanuts and throw the shells on the ground. All the furniture in there is made out of wood and the bar feel is real. The pretzels and beer cheese dip (spicy) was sensational and the Bridge St. Bomber Burger was amazing with BBQ sauce. The fries are quite amazing as well along with the California Turkey Sandwich. I will be back to this place SOON. Also, they had one of the best Two Hearted Ale on draft I've had in a long time. Highly recommend going here if you're in the area.

While service was decent and the Moscow Mule excellent the burgers seemed average, a little on the bland side. The Guinness poor did not seem fresh for an Irish pub. The tater tots though good simply seemed to be from frozen and the French fries were good but lacking salt.

the bar has been here since i was a kid. normal bar fare but the fish and chips is what people come for. During the summer, the windows are open and it's a really nice local pub to get to know.

Burgers are the best! I go for lunch and can always get a table if I can find a parking space. Service is always friendly and the kitchen gets the food out fast enough for lunch. I go here several times a year.

The waitress had a little attitude, screwed up our order, never check in on our table. Drinks may be good but would not come here for a meal

After a long day a friend and I were hungry and wanted to grab a drink as well. We felt a little old in his bar, with mostly college age patrons. Wait staff was fast and friendly. Food was also quick and tasty. I had the chicken quesadillas and my friend had some kind of turkey sandwich both very good.

This bar/restaurant is located near the downtown Grand Rapids Area. Get many business men and people who enjoy the neighborhood bar. Had a great time, good service.

Check my other reviews, I am not one for superlatives, but this place was dynamite. My burger was wonderfully juicy with well balanced flavours that still let the beef shine through. Fries were a true surprise crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Beers on tap were many and good.

Burgers are half off on Sundays so a friend invited me to join him for a meal in their lovely outdoor seating area. The burger I chose included ham and other toppings and melted in my mouth! Service and atmosphere was great.
