Grabbed a Backwards Bast..d (one can't use profanity in TripAdvisor reviews! But its the real name!) and pretzel - best ever. Beer has tons of flavor, malty, oaky, caramel. Better than sipping fine port or cognac. Never disappointed in this combo; looking forward to more!

My husband and I did a weekend brewery tour, with our first day being spent in Kalamazoo. Day 2 we spent in Grand Rapids. We are long time fans of Founders beer, and had heard many great things about the brewery and tour, but I was still a little apprehensive when I booked in advance at $25 per person. I... More

One of the best times to visit Founders is for lunch. Less crowded and less of a wait for food or drinks. Always check to see what specials are available, since each day has a soup special and a sandwich special.

It's a great place to hang out, snack, and the beer is good according to my husband who enjoys. It is downtown, so parking is not always the greatest, but still worth the visit.

Founders has the best olive tapenade ever! Whenever we are in GR, we make it a point to stop for it. The other food is good too, but the tapenade with pita chips rocks!

This place was A - M - A - Z - I - N - G! When we arrived, the line was around the corner. Once they opened the doors, the seating process was smooth and relatively short. There were heating elements everywhere so you never felt overwhelmed by the brisk February cold. Although packed, the service was great. Everyone... More

I've been here a handful of times and wanted to give it a chance, but each time I hated it more than the last. The atmosphere, the staff, the food and the beer, all of it is mediocre and pretentious. My last, ever, visit was with a group of girlfriends who, for some reason, liked this place so we decided... More

What was and now is, are two different things. They have expanded and only for the better. The restaurant, which at a point, was marginal is now rather good for a fair price. The beer speaks for itself . In that I am from Colorado, which has the most and best microbreweries in the country, I am quickly becoming a... More

Take the tour! The largest craft brewery in a city block. The company is a monster. The employees are real! Dirty Bast@rd and Lizard of Koz for the Stout/Porter Crowd. Great Mac and Cheese. I had the BBQ chicken flatbread "pizza".

Description
Overlooking the brewing facilities, our Taproom allows customers a look into where the beer magic happens. It’s a great testing ground for us, and on any particular day you will find numerous products on draft available only at Founders. The unique offering of specialty beers, the laid back atmosphere, and thrice-weekly live music has helped to make our Taproom a staple in the Grand Rapids community and a destination for travelers.
