Our server, Emmerson, was great. She was hustling as the place was packed. She made sure we had everything we needed. The food was pretty good too. What was not good is that the acoustics in here are horrible! It was difficult to carry on...a conversation with friends without straining to hear. Not sure how the restaurant could fix this . .. .I left with a headache.More

Had the luncheon perch meals for lunch today. They were pretty good except for the coleslaw (we like it creamy). The fish and fries were fried to perfection. Service was good, quantities were very fair and the facility is neat and clean. We went at...an odd time and there was no crowd at all. The crowd can come in fast and it can get very loud in there. It is nice knowing that such a fine place like this exists. We will return.More

First time meal for our family. Got there early on a Saturday night and were able to get seated right away. Our server Emerson came to the table promptly. Old fashioned was quite sweet and just ok, key lime margarita was good, but great. Honestly,...the only reason we didn’t give 5 stars were the drinks. The rolls before the meal were very good (light herbs) served with plenty of butter. We had the bacon, wrapped meatloaf, the southwest, chicken salad, and the prime rib. All were plentiful portions, and seem to be well thought out and executed. prime rib did have some fat on it, but overall was very good. For dessert we shared the peach crumble. It was large but also well put together. The balance of the crumble and ice cream and whipped cream was very good. Overall a very good meal and moderately priced (i.e. prime rib with two sides was $25). Quite honestly if I could have given 4.5 stars I would have. We will be adding this to our restaurant rotation for sure.More

I really liked the atmosphere of this place. It was warm and inviting and the service was excellent. Food was really good and prices seemed reasonable. I had the French Dip which compared to some of the best I’ve had

The atmosphere here is reminiscent of an old fashioned Train Depot. The fact that it never was is applause to the architect for giving it such character. I ordered the Bourbon Maple - Peach Pork Chops ($18) with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a House Salad...(+$3). The meal was a little confusing First off the flavor of the Bourbon Maple Peach was so mild in taste to be almost non existent. However the 2 Pork Chops were thick and cooked perfectly. It was sadly very anticlimactic to eat. The mashed potatoes were good, but nothing special. The salad was very good, though I don't get why it as one of my 2 sides cost an extra $3. The person I was with got the Roadhouse Burger ($12). It looked to be cooked right and it was claimed to be good, but I got the impression it wasn't great. Also she stated the chips were extremely salty! Presiding the meal we received rolls. These were the best part of the meal. Very soft with and amazing taste and texture. The service was good and friendly. They did a very good job keeping my drink full. Overall I wanted to give a better rating, however I just can't justify it. It was a disappointing 3 star review. I came in with high hopes. Would I return? Probably not. However if someone else wanted to go there I'd give them another chance.More

This was our first time here. For getting there at 5:15, it was very busy and got much busier as we left. The server was on top of everything and the food was very good. No regrets coming here, and we will be back.

Went with friends for a meal and a drink, good selection of food on the menu and good service. Although the food was a little slow in coming because the place was full our server kept us informed and we did not feel as if...we where being ignored at all. All in all good food and even better serviceMore

A few of us hadn't been to Walker Roadhouse in over a year so we decided to try their lunch specials. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we arrived but tables seemed to fill up even with reduced capacity inside. Our server took a long time...to even stop at the table and bring us water. We decided to order once we saw her again. She had little knowledge of the menu and kept recommending perch to us, even though I made it clear that one of us had a food allergy to perch and we didn't want it. (Was there some reason to push the fish?) We each ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered the Smoked Brisket Tacos, the others at the table ordered a Prime Rib French Dip Sandwich and California Reuben. The brisket tacos were supposed to be served with chips and salsa; the other two sandwich orders asked for fries with their sandwiches for an up charge. Tacos were sparsely filled and the sour cream was not on them as shown on the menu, so I asked about this and was told it was an extra charge. The menu clearly says it is served 'with sour cream' so I was annoyed. I think our server just didn't know the menu specials and the kitchen failed to put it on the tacos. Meat was dried out and tasteless and it had more pico de gallo than anything else. My friend's California Reuben was delivered to the table but ended up being the wrong sandwich once he noticed that it had sauerkraut on it. Again, the server did not know what sandwiches had certain condiments. The other sandwich, the Prime Rib, had a few small slivers of lunch meat style beef and a few onions with a slice of melted cheese. The au jus that came with it was salty, boxed beef broth according to my other friend who also said that the 'homemade french bread' was clearly from Gordon Food Service. Both of these sandwiches didn't get the requested fries; they had the default side of potato chips. Overall, the food and service won't bring us back. We had to ask multiple times for separate checks and our server didn't have basic math skills to recalculate a few things for us. We rounded up for her and just chalked the entire experience up to a lesson learned. Plenty of other places on the Westside for a better meal served by better wait staff.More

Outstanding food quality and great atmosphere - do yourself a favor and go to this delightful place! The staff is top shelf, knowledgeable and totally professional, delivering a great experience with a charming attitude typical of West Central Michigan. The appetizers and entrees are excellent,...and the wine list and draft beer selection is very good. After the health crisis is over please patronize this wonderful neighborhood establishment!More

Large and cozy space with friendly staff but wasn't impressed with the food. The chowder was extremely bland while the rice and ham soup was so salty, it was nearly inedible. The Korean lettuce wraps were just okay. My daughter and I were both sick...after eating there. The children's chicken and fruit was a nice surprise though. I wish the server had told me about their specials because the goat cheese omelette looked really good. ☹️More

The walker roadhouse is a great place to eat. Good food and great service. The downside is their cocktails r weak so I’ll usually have ice tea or wine. Another downside is they don’t take reservations nor r I allowed to call ahead. U can...have up to an hour wait. However, the menu, food and prices r great.More
