I ordered a pizza. It was hot ! It was well topped! The toppings tasted good. The crust was almost grocery store quality! Not good! Ill try one more time and tell you about their lasagna other wise i wont be back
I was staying at the Marriott Courtyard near the airport and after a long day of work, could not bear the thought of going back out for dinner, so knew it was going to be a delivery night. I asked the front desk staff for...recommendations and was so happy that Faro's was on the list and that they would be delivering my dinner of pizza and salad.
Online ordering was available and easy to use. My food was delivered within about 30-35 minutes of completing my order--very happily and significantly beating the estimated delivery time of 45 minutes to an hour.
The pizza was still HOT and very tasty. There was a good amount of the toppings that I ordered and they tasted very fresh (sausage and peppers). I ordered extra sauce on it (as I am more about the sauce than the cheese) and I think the next time I will tell them to go heavy on the sauce and light on the cheese, as there was actually MORE than enough cheese for my tastes. But the cheese lovers among you should be very pleased!
The house salad was one of the freshest I have ever gotten as part of a take out/delivery order--no brown or white lettuce here. Hearty portions of lettuce and tomatoes and a MOIUND of cheese on it. Again--a cheese lovers delight.
I like to try pizza in the different parts of the country to which I travel and I prefer to get it from locally owned shops rather than the national chains, just to get the local flavor (AND support small businesses!). I found the sauce here to be a bit more on the sweet side than that I am used to in the Northeast, but I do not know if this is unique to this family's recipe or common to the middle of the country.
At any rate, it was a most enjoyable -and delivered!--meal and I would definitely get food from Faro's again if I should find myself in Grand Rapids.More
Ordered a traditional crust two topping pizza and the Chicago style cheese bread. Lots of food, hot and tasty. The pizza sauce is a bit sweet, but most folks will like it. Very close to a number of hotels on 28th st.
Staying at near-by hotel, we "needed" pasta. Using Trip Advisor and Google, found Faro's among the many places to eat near G. Ford Airport. We had pasta, antipasto salad and a sub. All very good, a lot of food for the price (good value) great...staff. Fresh and made to order. Even the salad was made after our order. If you find yourself on 28th in this part of Grand Rapids or Kentwood - stop it.More
We stayed at the Comfort Inn on 28th St. and were very tired after a long day of flying. We ordered a 12 inch Chicago style pizza, and it was delivered in about 20 minutes, directly to our room! The pizza was very good -...not fabulous - but definitely perfect for two tired travelers!More
First of all, I think the size is adequate for what they charge. (If you want a large, cheap pizza may I suggest go to Sam's Club or Costco).
There's a coupon in the brochure that we took advantage of (large pizza, 2-litter soda, and...breadstick for $14). This was recommended by the staff at the Conference Center at Calvin College and I'm glad we ordered dinner. Quick delivery and the pizza is good. It was strange at first since we couldn't find the toppings; it was under the cheese :) The breadstick is good and not greasy with a large side of sauce to add. I ordered a side salad which is a pretty good helping. Very nice staff.More
Travelling and needing a quick meal for the family. Ordered a large cheese pizza. It was quick enough and good, but for nearly 15 backs, I expected it to be bigger. That is the only thing that keeps it from getting a "very good" rating.
