Most of the collection offers a delicious menu. Most of the collection is a bit over priced. Each location is a special treat in atmosphere and service. Brandi at BWG is easy-going, friendly, and efficient.
The "Gilmore (brothers) Collection is excellent in Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. I can't tell you how many there are. This causes a bit of a problem as there is a sameness to them. In some ways that's good, but it can make it a...visit to one not noticeably different from another. Menu vary a bit, but again some same items, but with name changes Togo with the name of the restaurant.
The lemon, in my experience and I haven't tried them all, is Blue Water Grill. They rely on location. Read my review specific to this property.
In short, you'll likely leave happy, maybe even return, but it'll wear thin after a while.More
This group ensures that each restaurant is well organized, has well-trained staff who are very friendly and efficient. The menus are very eclectic and healthy! Enjoy going to these restaurants as I always know I will receive great service, delicious food and varied choices as...well as a great wine list!More
My family celebrated our parents 50th anniversary at Blue Water Grill and I was very disappointed in the accommodations for someone in a wheel chair. We were informed by the restaurant that our group of 18 including one person in a wheel chair would be...seated in the lower level even though the restrooms were located on the main level. In order for someone in a wheel chair to use the restrooms they must pick the correct exterior ramp (completely exposed to the outdoor elements), one ramp that leads to the dumpsters and the other ramp leading to the main door. Yes, we picked the wrong ramp due to lack of signage. We managed to maneuver the wheel chair between the building and the dumpster, how disgusting!
My recommendations for someone that is unable to climb stairs is to demand seating on the main level or chose another restaurant!!!More
A few dishes are good - the rest is overpriced and NOT worth the money ... Blue Water Grill is OK - Jet Cafe is a No-NO - please don't go - Kirby Grill in Grand Haven is overpriced and the dishes are mediocre -
I don't care which Gilmore restaurant you go to, you will find friendly staff, a nice casual atmosphere and good food at a reasonable price. I typically switch up between Rose's, the Bostwick Lake Inn and the Flat River Grill. Each place has it's own...unique food from small plates to full entrees and I really like their soups.More
We had our wedding reception at HOME at the BOB. Everyone was raving about the beef. They did an amazing job with our buffet. They were also extremely friendly and so helpful when it came to setting up for the day. Thanks for all you...guys did! Great job!More
