A friend recommended Divani as a great place to celebrate our anniversary. It was an inspired choice! When making our reservations, they asked it was a special occasion. After we were seated, our server brought two nicely chilled glasses of champagne. They offer several outstanding...appetizers, soups and salads and a great wine list. The menu that evening offered only six main courses, but they were all uniquely flavorful (e.g., smoked Gouda mashed potatoes). I had a lasagne that was truly exceptional. Romantic setting, attentive service, uniquely flavorful menu choices - this will become a favorite place!More

My (now) husband and I are big foodies. When we got engaged, our dream honeymoon was to eat our way through Italy. With COVID, those plans changed very quickly. We downsized the wedding and booked a small, local honeymoon three days before the wedding. We...figured going somewhere nearby was better than going no where at all. We wanted to do a fancy dinner for our last night in town and happened upon Divani. The restaurant was dim and intimate, which was perfect for our little celebration. We were seated by a romantic table right in the window. We made it just in time for Happy Hour, and when I saw a "Pop Rocks" cocktail on the menu I couldn't resist the whimsy of it. It was delicious! Not too sweet. Most of our trip in town had involved food, so we were not overly hungry when we arrived. My husband talked me into trying the pierogis. The moment that first bite hit my lips I knew we had found something special. They immediately became the best food we had eaten all week (and it was a hotly contested title). The pierogis were quickly dethroned by our entrees. My duck was superb and perfectly crispy, but my husband's lasagna was like a slice of heaven. Everything here is made from scratch, and you can absolutely taste the love that Chef John and Sous Chef Casey have put into this menu. There were classic flavors, as well as fun new favorites, and every bite was better than the last. While the evening was already amazing from the food alone, Arielle and Analeigh really put the whole experience over the top. These women are so personable and knowledgeable. It felt like we were dining with old friends in their home. They took such amazing care of us, and for that I cannot thank them enough. When they found out we were celebrating our honeymoon, they took even better care of us. We laughed and trusted every recommendation that was made. I am hard pressed to think we would have had a better meal in Italy. Thank you again so much to Analeigh & Arielle for taking such good care of us. This was such a special evening well always remember.More

Everything about this restaurant from the service to the food was wonderful. We went for happy hour on a cold day and the setting was warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, the drinks (cocktails, beer and wine) were great and the service impeccable. Everything...we ordered from the happy hour menu was perfect! We highly recommend Divani for happy hour! We plan to go back for dinner as well (and actually wished we would have stayed for dinner)! The street is under construction so enter from the Hopcat end of the street. This is a must visit when in GR.More

As a 1st-time visitor to Grand Rapids, and staying downtown, I had no idea where to eat. Some friends here recommended Divani's and what a gem! Oh my! A quiet place suitable for a group of friends or a romantic evening for two. With an...almost old-world charm and decore, the food was fantastic. I'm a sucker for pesto and their linguini dish was one of the best ever! Listed as vegetarian on the menu (which has a couple, by the way), you can also add a protein to it if desired. I was blown away and will certainly be back!More

You can tell that the chef loves what he does! the meal preparation, presentation and especially taste was outstanding. The staff is friendly -- a...step above professional -- making you feel like you've come to a friend's place for a meal. The atmosphere is inviting and a bit upscale without being pretentious. This restaurant is AMAZING! Made reservations, which was a great idea because of a concert we were going to. The server made sure to ask if we were going as to be able to get us out on time. Had to add one to our...reservation last minute and they were happy to accommodate even though they were booked. Service was excellent and the food was beyond delicious! I highly recommend anytime you are looking for a fun and cool vibe restaurant with excellent food.More

Hmm... What can we say about this place, except that I and my fiancé, Maria loved it and think its one of the best primo bar/ restaurants for serving mixed drinks EVER! Our bartender Arielle, served us on 2018/19 on New Years, and again coincidentally...in Mid-Feb 2019 for Dinner as a waitress and we both thought that she was the most awesome Bartender/Waitress EVER! (I might be saying EVER in caps a lot here just so ya know ... :) She was witty, funny and took us through the Cocktail menu with an engaging flourish and fun that was refreshing. She took a great picture of us near the Christmas tree at the front of the place and was very accommodating of her time on a busy night to make our NYE night rememberable. So we can't give thanks enough to her. They have great appetizers and present them with a flair and artistry just as do their strong and creative drinks. The atmosphere is dark and cozy and the seating was comfortable. When Arielle was our waitress later in February she was still great as EVER and remembered us from before we had come just for the drinks. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!More

I can’t believe we’ve never been here before! The food was fabulous - we started with the fried cauliflower and goat cheese/squash pierogis, followed by a burger. It was seriously one of the best burgers we’ve ever had - we were kind of upset that...we had decided to share, because it was amazing. Delicious and unique cocktail menu as well. Portions are a little on the smaller side, so plan accordingly. We will definitely be back!More
