This place has an amazing selection of craft beer made on premises. Better still, the bar staff can give you all the details and help with options. Good food as well.

My family came here for my brothers birthday. Great atmosphere. For the first time, I actually liked an ale from a local brewery! The Undertaker was great! We had a really nice time here. (Although, not good for picky eaters.)

Excellent beer and food. They can be busy at times, but staff are well trained and keep up . The communal tables are a refreshing sitting for Grand Rapids.

Had heard many good things about brewery vivant and it lived up to the hype! Biked here from our hotel, appreciated the convenient bike racks and repair station if needed! Such a cool setting! Expected great beer, was equally impressed by the food!

We came here and got two flights and they were both so good! I think flights are the best way to get a good idea of what a place has to offer. They do have some very strong beers though, so watch out. The food was also really good, and served quickly. Service was great. I also really like the... More

Had a few of their home brews. The flavours burst in your mouth with great aftertaste and a great palette !! Dark beers were super slick smooth and a super pleasure to sip. Lots of beers to try on tap. Will visit again and again. Service is top notch and you can sample some of the brews to either have... More

We stopped in for a round. The Vivant is in an old church. Great use of an old building, the bar is at the front of the church under the stained glass window. Outstanding beer and a really interesting menu. You shouldn't miss it if you are interested in beer.

Brewery Vivant was stop 6 on our Michigan Craftbeer research tour. We love finding cool new places in the mix of large breweries. Brewery Vivant is in an old historic event funeral home and the stain glass and set up is great. Belgian beers are not the norm for me, but I do appreciate the style. The place was packed... More

Brewery Vivant is a wonderful surprise in the rich & crowded craft beer scene of Grand Rapids, MI! The space Is a former funeral parlor in the trendy Eastown section of GR, converted to evoke a Belgian abbey. The setting evokes a warm & friendly local vibe, but the experienced staff make travelers feel welcome. The wide range of Belgian-inspired... More

We stopped at Brewery Vivant on the recommendation of a friend and so they we could sample their beer. Vivant offers a four-pour flight for which you can select anything beer that is on tap. Of the brews I sampled, I enjoyed the Wit the most. My wife and I split an order of Poutine, and it was good but... More
