Met friends to celebrate our New Year and picked Gilly's bc some had never eaten there and location was good. Had reservations but really didn't need them for a Saturday @6:30p, table for 8 was available this night. Service was great our waitress was attentative...and pleasant. Drink order taken immediately and she was patient with needed brew samples. Our order was correct and everything was very good. The dishes were 2 had simple bowl with chicken, corn, potatoes and gravy, 2 had burnt tips very tender, the burger was good, Gilly Philly was good and mac&cheese with brisket was good and lentil curry was good. The only side that I would not get again is the Mac and cheese... disappointed since it was a main entree... Certainly not the same. The BBQ sauce were good... I tend to like spicy and there a couple. Sangria was good, beer was cold, company was wonderful so all in all it was a good night... Would definitely go back more items would like to try.More

Very nice bartenders. The food was mediocre. A nice place to meet friends but the music is so loud that you cant talk to each other without shouting.More

We attempted to have dinner at Gilly's on March 28 following the Trump rally. We waited at the host station for about 20 minutes before the host acknowledged us. He very rudely approached us and asked "do you have a reservation?! You won't be seated...for at least 2 hours if you don't have a reservation!" The restaurant was less than half full at the time and we were only requesting for a party of two. We were not wearing any political garb and my friend is an African American. Based on how rudely we were treated I'm left with only two conclusions. The host was either racist or had hate for anyone he assumed went to see president Trump. Even if he had some other reason to mistreat customers in this manner I'm certain neither of us will be patronizing the BOB in the future. We were graciously accommodated at another BUSIER establishment shortly thereafter.More
Hi Jim, we are very sorry about your experience with us at Gilly's, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. While our staff may have been overwhelmed by the large influx of guests on that date, it is no excuse for poor customer...More
Went at 9PM and about 1/2 of the tables were open; small little sign said “please wait to be seated” We waited about 10 minutes for a host to greet us. There was apparently a Trump rally across the street that let out and other...people were cutting in through the side of the restaurant and seating themselves while we waited because there were so many open tables and nobody was greeting guests; very confusing. The host finally came to greet us and the first thing he said, rudely, was “Do you have a reservation? If not, you may as well go somewhere else because it will be at least an hour and a half!!!; we said “no” and he said “try upstairs” and walked away. Meanwhile, there were a total of 9 people at the 5 large high top tables in the bar and less than 1/2 of the tables occupied on the other side of bar. Although there may have been a large crowd coming to fill the restaurant, I highly doubt anyone needed dinner reservations at 9P for a restaurant/bar that was barely occupied. I’m not sure if he didn’t like that one of us was Hispanic or thought we were Trump supports or something, but nonetheless, there was something he didn’t like about us and after being treated that way, this will be our last visit to the BOB. Went to Zs down the road and shared a high top table with some friendly people we didn’t even know. They had been at the Trump rally and said the same thing happened to them at this restaurant and why they went to Zs too. As we walked back past this place an hour later, it was still 1/2 empty. Maybe they have plenty of business and don’t need our money; yah, they have assured themselves of that - thanks for reading.More

My wife and I stopped before a show at 20 Monroe Live. And we were glad we did. The live music was hopping (even though it took me awhile to figure out it was coming from another place in The B.O.B.) and the food tasty...we wanted something small as we ate a late lunch so decided to try a couple different tostadas. Wow... they were not your typical greasy fast good variety. The beer menu was varied with both local brews and some larger breweries available. And this bourbon lover enjoyed the bourbon selection. And although we didn’t intend on having dessert, for $5 we could resist the strawberry shortcake. Glad we got it.More
Thank you so much for the stellar review! We're glad you stopped by and enjoyed everything. We hope you join us again before your next concert night :)
So I pulled into the hotel and asked where I should go and the bellman told me the B.O.B. I came inside and found a seat at Gilly’s Smokehouse. Great bartender who told me to try the brisket or anything smoked and he was right....Deviled eggs were great too! I was offered samples of the locally crafted brews, but settled on B.O.B. S Blonde. Nice bar to watch the game and have a relaxing night.More
Hi there, thank you so much for the awesome review! We are so happy to hear that your bellman recommended us and we delivered. We're glad you enjoyed your dinner with us, and we hope you join us again the next time you're in town.
Probably the worst burnt ends I've ever encountered... nothing burnt... not even close... literally 5 small pieces for $15 and they if you could even get a couple of small pieces of meat off each one I'm probably exaggerating. Took about 30 minutes to get...the take out order, and never asked if I even wanted any sauce with the burnt ends. I'm glad I asked - the carolina sauce was decent and since the burnt ends weren't burnt, it was definitely a plus. Texas toast was cold and the mashed potatoes were the best part of the dinner.More
I'm very sorry that you did not enjoy your dinner with us. Please email our manager Matt (mmeyers@gilmorec.com) to tell us how we can improve this for you. Thank you.
We were seated promptly by the host. We recieved our drinks & food quickly. All four us liked our food. Our waitress was very friendly but she didn't ask us if we wanted more drinks, it was like they were rushing us out. The booth...seat we had was cramped and the table wobbled so if our drinks were full and someone put their hand on the table the drinks would spill out. i liked the atmosphere and I will probably return.More
Hi Tammy, thank you for the great review and the feedback about our service. We will definitely check on those wobbling tables! Glad to hear you enjoyed the food, and we look forward to seeing you at Gilly's again :)
Really good service and food. Even though they were fairly busy, the bartender did great. Food was hot and out fast.
Thanks for the kind review! We glad you enjoyed your experience with us at one of our restaurants. We hope you join us again soon and try out another restaurant!
