The menu is only 5 different toppings in your pizza. Need a bigger menu, and our pizza was burned! I would or recommend this place. The staff was friendly.

Fricano's is a decades old favorite of the people we were visiting. Atmosphere has old school charm, service was excellent. Pizza was good. No comparison to New Haven style crust, thankfully NOT Chicago style. A regional variation crust that was a bit different than what...we are accustomed to for sure.Overall a nice visit. Server was awesome with managing the handful of toddlers in our party. Would consider a return when back in the area.More
Not sure what people like so much. Very limited on toppings and zero sauce. Kinda gross. Crust was basically burnt.
Ordered take out. Got there on time and joined the crazy line of take out orders and people trying to pay for their dine in orders. They definitely need a different system. What a jam up of people. The first lady took my name, looked...for the pizza and said it was downstairs. Joined the mob crowd of people waiting for their pizzas. Finally a second lady took names and found mine quite readily. Guess the first person couldn't read.More
Never went to an Italian restaurant that only served 6 choices of thin crust pizza, no salad, pasta or anything else for that matter. Full bar but that's it...I make my own pizza and it's better then this! The waitress said, people bring their own...salad or even dessert and she said, "we do things old school here" Well they opened in the 1940s and obviously want to keep it that way..no thanks Pizza was gross!More
Fricano's Pizza Tavern has been around forever. Pizza is different but very good. Has a tendency to be a little greasy so make sure you have them service it on cardboard. Full bar and good service. They only serve pizza
Overall bad experience. I've never left a restaurant review but felt this one needed one. It was my first time at the grand haven location, the sign said to seat ourselves so we did and immediately got yelled at by staff for going into wrong...area, a room where apparently only larger parties are welcome. The server had an attitude with us after that but the worst part was actually the pizza. The crust had a sour taste and was soggy and there was just no flavor at all. I would have been happier eating a frozen pizza.More
Love fricanos pizza, but tonight was very disappointing. Something was off with the cheese, bad off! It left a bad taste in my mouth for a couple hours. Maybe to much of something in the cheese? Idk but it was bad
A unique, thin crust pizza with incredible and unique flavor. It's definitely a pizza we will not forget and one we will crave long after leaving Grand Haven. Can't wait to have it again.
Whenever I’m in town visiting family, I always make sure to go to the Grand Haven Fricano’s. No frills or fanciness there - it’s as it was many years ago. And that’s what makes the place perfect. They don’t need to strive for anything beyond...what they do at the GH location. The wait staff are all lovely, and the thin crust pizza comes out steaming hot. We had well done this time and it was absolute perfection. Fricano’s and a cold beer - they just go together. I’m already dreaming about my next visit there.More
The experience was very authentic. The pizza was awesome. Jane was awesome. The staff was very friendly.
Real Italy pizza pie one size with what you want on it this restaurant been in business since the 1940's and it was the first pizza place in michigan now they have locations in grand rapids, grand haven and Muskegon It thin pizza just like...in Italy and in Italy they called it pizza pie I grew up in Muskegon and love this pizza and it would break my heart in this business when out of business I can afford to go to Italy and I am so happy they came to my hometownMore
Worst pizza ever. We were looking for a pizza spot in Grand Haven. My mom remembered FrIcano’s from years past. They only offer one size. A 12”pizza. Your choices are cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms and green pepper. The crust was like cardboard. Barely any...red sauce. When our pizza was delivered to the table we thought we had someone else’s pizza as we could only see mushrooms and sausage. The mushrooms were not fresh and limited cheese. No taste. We tried to doctor it up with salt, pepper, and red pepper. It didn’t help. We have eaten all over the world and this is not a place I could recommend in good conscience. Try Pizza Hut or Jets.More
Went here because so highly recommended by house owner. Pizza place known for thin pizzas. Very limited choices. Good bar
Fricano's is the best pizza place in Grand Haven. It has been in the same location for 70+ years. The menu is the same as it's always been and the pizza's are just like they were when I was growing up!
