We had wings, corned beef sandwich, and the strawberry chicken salad. All of our food was absolutely amazing. The corned beef on the sandwich was a generous amount and the salad was delicious. We had drinks which were surprisingly well proportioned and at a fair price, not watered down like so many other establishments.

Let me say the brisket melt (not really a grilled cheese) and chocolate cream pie were excellent. We looked at the menu for about 15 minutes before our server took our order and when we ordered the beef stroganoff she told us they were out of it and two other things. We were really disappointed. Had she told us when she took our drink order, we wouldn’t have even considered it. That was disappointing. Just be mindful of timing. Yeah, it was a personal experience but one that could have made our time there better. I think they gave us the pie for free because they felt bad. They didn’t charge us but also didn’t tell us. Weird.

Looking for a relaxing place for lunch; not many options with the pandemic. I had the SW Chicken Wrap with chips. The chips we're half crumbs, tasted nasty, like they used days-old grease that they fried everything in. And, our server had one of those clear, plastic shield masks that are attached from the bottom and only went up over her nose. Didn't look very Covid safe, then I saw her rub her nose back and forth with her finger...eeww!

First time here and probably the last. The menu and food was just ok, not really all that bad but, not good either. Our waitress forgot to bring our beers to the table and we had to send them back because they served them too us warm.

The menu had a great selection! We ate outside on the patio, as we are still trying to be cautious with COVID-19 precautions. We were immediately greeted by the musician, who had just finished up. He was very friendly! I witnessed staff cleaning tables and sanitizing multiple times. All of the waitstaff was wearing masks, which made us feel comfortable about eating there. Our waitress was terrific and the food was AMAZING!!

First, there was no Saturday specials listed except a few sandwiches in small print on a card with other information which was disappointing and surprising as this was a first I experienced going to a restaurant/Tavern. Second my husband and my friend’s husband both ordered the white fish, the one fried was three times larger than the one baked…the chief should not have served such portion differences period and both were over cooked and very bland. The baked white fish plate presentation looked as it was served for someone on a very restrictive diet, little portion of vegetables with it. The salads were good. The Portobello sandwich was suppose to be grilled as stated, but only the Portobello itself may have been grilled? All should have of been grilled with additional cheese added to make a good sandwich. Everyday onion rings nothing special yet charged an additional cost? Very disappointing to say the least compared to last time. We won’t be back with friends again or us for sometime.

Got a really good take-out meal here while in town. The reuben was great, very lean and not greasy. The only complaint of the fish tacos was the tortilla's were not near big enough for all the really pretty unique toppings that they give you with a lot of fish. Make sure you have a fork. Really good stuff. They are using their former bar area for the take out service.

We stopped here to meet friends on our way home from Canada. Neither of us live in the area but pass through often so we decided to meet at the Alpine. The visit started out bad, as we waited for our friends to arrive we sat for over 10 minutes before someone finally acknowledged us and asked if we a wanted something to drink. The place was not busy, maybe 4 other tables and other wait staff working. We ordered a picture of beer, our waitress seemed to be distracted and annoyed, not very friendly, she brought the pitcher and disappeared. As our friends came in I said I don’t think we want to eat here the waitress is non existent and not very nice. We decided to finish our beers and leave. In comes Cristy, I hand her the menus and ask for the bill, I explain to her why we’re not eating there. She profusely apologizes and says she’s not sure what happened with the waitress but that that she was told she taking over all of her tables, I said it’s not your fault but appreciate her being so nice. She convinces us to give the restaurant another chance so we decided to stay. She was so nice and friendly, the burgers were big and delicious. We were glad we stayed and applaud Cristy for turning a bad experience into a good one gaining the Apline new customers.

We went for lunch. When we arrived, (weekday, 1pm-ish), it was pretty crowded. Service was on the slow side, in that after sitting it took a few minutes to get menus and order drinks, took a bit for our drinks to arrive, took a while for food order to come out. Everything took a bit longer than it should have. The food though, was worth the wait. The menu has a good amount of choices. I thought it seemed a bit on the expensive side, but when the food arrived it was definitely appropriate to the prices. The brisket grilled cheese is a huge amount of meat on the sandwich, and the pub burger is large and tasted fresh. The cook on it was spot on. The chips are yummy. We appreciated the military discount, and will definitely be back. Thanks for a great lunch!

We needed a dinner break on our trip home and Gaylord seemed like a great spot to stop. Choosing a restaurant in an unfamiliar area always seems like a gamble but we were very pleased with everything here! The hostess was so friendly, the decor and atmosphere was great, and our food was delicious. The only thing keeping us from giving it 5 stars was the slow service. While we were seated right away, everything took a really long time. If we lived closer though, we would be back!

A friend and I tried this restaurant for lunch from a recommendation from the local hospital staff. I checked out the menu on line and it looked good for a variety of choices to pick from. Needless to say, no impressed at all. Had soup (beef barley), was pretty good and 1/2 sandwich, Brisket grilled cheese. It was so small and was wondering where the meat was. It was very tasty though if you like goat cheese. My friend had the brisket dip, again, small, minimal meat, mostly bread. Our waitress was super friendly!!!! Wouldn't try again since there are too many other options in Gaylord.

Must have been an off night. I ordered a steak salad, medium rare with blue cheese dressing and paid for extra, avocado. 1. Steak was so tough and overdone, couldn’t chew it. 2. Dressed with Caesar on the salad, so when I finally got around to eating it, was a soggy mess. 3. No breadstick concluded. Only good thing was the avocado, and the friendly bartender wh gave me the food. $18 dollars wasted

First time on a Saturday for lunch with a friend, 2nd time for both of us there. Great beef barley soup, took 1/2 sandwich home (Beef Brisket Grilled Cheese) Ordered full sandwich Take Out for husband. The meat was tough, barely any ingredients on it for $16.00, terrible. Will never visit again and the service was below par.

Up North with my sister and several cousins. We have a cottage on Big Lake so decided to eat here our first night…we’ve eaten here many times before. Nine of us were promptly seated and orders drink/food orders were taken in reasonable time considering it was a busy night. The food, as always, was great. Some had pizza, some had whiteish dinners, some had sandwiches. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Our waitress was very friendly and provided outstanding service. Highly recommend.

With four guys and we had a very good meal. Cool atmosphere and friendly server. Started with pork nacho. It was decent and large. The wings were great. They come with 6 different dipping sauces and i highly recommend. I ordered thr perch and they gave 4 decent size pieces with choice of 2 sides. Sweet potatoe fries were great. Beans were decent. Could not finish. On Fridays they have Zeke. Highly talented one man band. I would definitely go back.
