Good brew, food, and views! There were 6 of us all had a good meal and brews. The stouts and IPA were hits. The pulled pork, bratwurst, and sides were the most popular. The sides were a delightful surprise the baked beans with pulled pork pieces in it added so much flavor. The coleslaw vinegar based a fresh tasty change. The view from the deck outside over the stream /river was greenery very nice. Service was good. We choose this over the restaurants where all the large groups and busses were located. This was a great choice. We would go again!

Enjoyed a Sunday meal here with my wife on the patio. Food was good, and the view of the Cass River was awesome. Service was really good. Prices of the food were a bit pricey, but with the location not being open Mon-Wed, it can be seen why.

Recommended by locals, we enjoyed an early dinner at the Frankenmuth Brewery, which was within walking distance of our hotel at the Marv Herzog Hotel. Christian (Chris P.) was our server and very helpful, knowledgeable. My husband started w a Fight of beers he chose from the draft menu and with Chris' assistance, I selected the Wiener Dog White wine. Yummy. For our appetizer we chose Buffalo Chicken wrap w blue cheese dip and Spinach Artichoke Dip (BOGOF coupon available in booklet at Visitor Center). My husband chose the Philly sandwich while I chose French Onion soup w a ate Caesar salad. Quick delivery, fresh food, attentive service.

We visited this restaurant several years ago and loved it. This was not a repeat. The most positive thing I can say is that the food was served steaming hot. The brat was way overcooked and dried out. The prime rib sandwich tasted like old meat and the au jus to dip it had little to no flavor.

Hi Shannon,
Thank you for visiting again and for taking the time to leave a review. We are in the process of updating our menu, with the revised version launching later this month. That said, however, what you described is in no way the quality we aim to deliver. Frankie's brat and The Big Dipper are two of our most popular dishes, and we clearly fell short on the execution for your meal. We hope you will visit again and give us the opportunity to deliver the experience you expect!

Before we came to town, I looked up places that had vegan food choices online. This place had a few options as far as I could tell. We walked around town a bit, then stopped in here. The hostess had us wait while she wiped a table down for us. No big deal. There were a few empty tables though. We informed our waitress that I am vegan. She mentioned the impossible burger or a buddha bowl. I saw both mentioned online. I asked questions and she brought out an allergen info sheet. All the burger buns contain egg, so those are out. No impossible burger for me. I hope they had an option to have the patty cooked in a pan, not on the grill the meats are cooked on. I asked about the hummus that was mentioned online and that's not offered. I tried to order a buddha bowl, but two of the ingredients (chick peas and sweet potatoes) are cross contaminated with fish. I'm guessing it's all cooked in the same fryer. I asked for those items to be left off. The waitress came back to say it was not on the "limited on Monday through Thursday" menu. We are here on a Monday. This was a complete let down. I did not want a salad with things subtracted, so I ate nothing.
My husband had a beer and onion rings appetizer, while I tried to get food ordered. He said the rings were not hot. Felt like they were cooked in a big batch and had been sitting there awhile. "These are the worst onion rings I've ever had" he said. We paid and left. Very disappointed and will not be back. Not vegan friendly.

The atmosphere of this brewery is great and so was the service. The food is overpriced, portions small and overall just ok, with the exception being the pretzel (huge and delicious). Most disappointing was the overcooked fried chicken in my sandwich. The piece was too small to even cover the bun and it was burnt on one end to the point I ripped it off because it was too tough to chew. Not a place we’d stop at again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and Christmas Town pretzel, but I am so sorry the rest of your meal disappointed. Like everywhere in the industry, we are battling soaring food costs, but we are continually trying to offer the best craft fare possible. As we head into the fall and look to update our menu for the season, your feedback is really helpful. Again, thank you for leaving a review!

I honestly wish I could post a review with zero stars, but that's not possible so here we are with a measly one. To sum up the below; mediocre beer, flavorless food, and service that makes the DMV seem like a five star hotel with a complementary butler.
Had I wanted to waste my time with barely mediocre food and service that screams "I don't want to be here whatsoever" I would've gone to my local DMV. To get this service at a local brewery from a town I've been visiting since I was a kid was beyond a let down. It's a stain not only on the brewery industry itself, but a world famous town in Michigan.
Every, single employee that spoke to use had an attitude so negative we should've left when we had the chance. The bartender was the most helpful and productive employee we encountered and all she had to do was fulfill one drink order.
When we transferred from the bar to a table when one was available, our waiter could not have been any worse. This guy literally walked over one time to drop off a drink menu and then never came back to take our order in any fashion. He did not have the common decency or common courtesy to look in the direction of our table and if he accidentally did that, he looked through our table.
After an ungodly amount of time and unnecessary amount of passes by our table without acknowledgement, we had to ask a manager, helping a different table, for carryout boxes. Are you kidding me? In these trying times, a local place such as this, needs employees who actually care about the customers and not just a pay check. The level of pettiness an uninterest sets new bars.

What a delicious meal! The food was prompt, hot, and fresh. The menu has a large variety to suit any taste, including vegan and gluten free options. We had the sweet mother clucker sandwich, chicken tenders, a Philly, and a build your own burger. Instead of fries you can opt for root beer baked beans or coleslaw, or upgrade to a premium side. The homemade root beer is amazing, and they have a wide variety of beer on tap. Flights are available, and they have a small selection of cocktails as well. We enjoyed our meal and will be back! It is first come, first served but there are lots of places to shop and explore while you are waiting on your table

Hi Megan,
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are updating our menu for the fall/winter season; most of those favorites will still be there but we are adding on some exciting new options, as well (look for nachos, meatloaf, and a new chicken sandwich just to name a few!). The baked beans are a sleeper-hit with our root bier as the not-so-secret ingredient :-)
We're so glad you enjoyed your visit and look forward to seeing you again!

While we were waiting for our Wine and Chocolate Tour, we stopped in for a snack and a beer. The ambience was pleasant. We both had the Brown Ale which was delicious. We had a coupon from the Visitor's Center for a buy one appetizer get one free so we chose the boneless wings and the buffalo chicken wraps. The food was good. Our waiter told us it was his first day. He did a great job and we appreciated his attentiveness.

Visited Frankenmuth Brewery this afternoon with my family, for what should have been a nice meal. Unfortunately found some hair on the sandwich (regret not taking a pic as proof) I ordered. Pointed it out to server who apologized and said he’d let his manager know. I decided to order something else instead. After a long wait, whole table finished their food by then, food finally arrived. Waiter did again apologize but also said again he didn’t know how it got there. Okay well I wasn’t me, serves me no purpose since I wanted my meal and ordered another which ended up not being worth the wait at all.
Server brought bill, I asked about the manager who never came by to check on us or apologize at all. I can excuse that things happen, it’s human, but to not acknowledge a customer situation is unprofessional and speaks ill of the establishment.
But it gets better at that point I was agitated, I didn’t ask for discounts or for bill to be comped at all, basic customer service expectation that’s it so…I asked to speak to the manager, who finally showed up in his Lions sweatshirt and ball cap and said , “yeah?” (WOW) When I proceeded to ask why he didn’t bother to stop and at least apologize/acknowledge…his response? “We don’t have anyone with hair like that“. Im sorry, are you suggesting I put it there? Mgr - “I didn't say that” and walked away.” Well, ummmm sounds like it.
UNPROFESSIONAL INDEED. That manager couldn’t have looked more bothered to be called over to us if his sweatshirt had “PissOff” written in bold caps on it.
I’m shocked that the ownership of long standing staple in the Frankenmuth community would allow their establishment to be managed by someone who clearly isn’t interested in ensuring their customers have great experiences.

We arrived and had an excellent view of the river as well as the kitchen. Ordered a flight of beer, chili, and fish and chips. 1st bite of chili had a hair in it. 2nd bite of cold slaw ( which tasted delicious) revealed a long hair. I did not search for anymore and was not able to finish my lunch. Our waitress....Katelin B. was wonderful and notified the manager. He graciously comped our food. But upon observing the line cooks, they did not wear hair nets and beards were fully exposed. We are not from Michigan, but they wouldn't have passed a New York State Health Dept. inspection.

We stopped for lunch because the menu had so many choices - burgers, sandwiches, simple entrees, pizza, etc. - and we had 5 adults with 8 children to please. The Reuben, Cuban, and French Dip sandwiches were all considered very good to excellent. The salads were as expected with no surprises good or bad. We saw the pizza on another table and it looked very good with high-end ingredients.
No beer was ordered so I cannot comment on the “brewery” aspect of the restaurant.

After all the stellar reviews my wife and I were looking forward to a great dinner, alas it was not to be. My wife got the prime rib dip sandwich and I got the Bruben. Her prime rib was anything but, it was dried out shaved beef while the au jus was flavorless. My Bruben was the same, very dried out meat that wasn’t fresh.
The service and the drinks were good but that about it :-( NOT RECOMMENDED.

Based on positive reviews, we went to the Brewery for our evening meal. We waited to be seated as no fewer than 5 employees watched us while standing in various locations around the eatery. After being seated I was uncomfortable with a film of some sort on the table. I used a wipe to clean it off. We waited and when no one acknowledged our existence at the table for 10+ minutes, we left. I doubt we were missed at all.
I’m sure there are good reviews for the Brewery but sadly it did not work for us.

Only the patio was open (it was 90* out).
It is basically fast food service at sit down restaurant prices.... and they still want you to leave a tip bc they don't tell you that you will basically be doing all the work yourself.
You have to go order your own food at a line and register. If you want a refill, you have to go inside and get it yourself. You have to clear and clean up your own area when you are done.
If I wanted to sweat and do all the waitress duties, I would have applied for a job....
