We stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night during the peak, fall, leaf color period. We arrived around 6 and it was packed, but didn't have to wait very long at the bar. The place seemed to be humming with happy people. We had some oysters on the half shell and fried tomatoes for appetizers which were both good.... More

We've been making Pearl's a destination for the last 18 1/2 years that they have been open. Where else would we go for our 20th? We not only had wonderful food, but Jen was a fabulous server who obviously loves her job and customers. Over the years, we indulge in the appetizers for a great meal. We had oysters Rockefeller,... A quiet Friday afternoon in Kewadin, where to go for dinner? Pearl's, of course. The oysters on the half-shell were excellent--fresh, tasty, and nicely presented; and the beer (IPA) on tap was also fresh and satisfying. The twin filet medallions were cooked just right...and I even had enough for a great 'left over' breakfast the next day. Great staff and... More

We come up from Kalamazoo. Used to make sure included Pearls. Recipes have changed to some items and just aren't the same. Skipped the last five years and decided to try it again tonight with friends that were up from Grand Rapids. Should have skipped it again. Not like it used to be. Too bad.

It was a busy summer week night. Trav. City had the National Cherry Festival in ful swing. I was on my motorcycle doing the Lake Michigan Circle Tour and a friend had told me about this place. It was on my route so I stopped by. Very busy dinner service but the place seemed to operate professionally. The owner was... More

Got there in time for happy hour. Drinks were good but the food was awesome. Had the jambalaya and it was delicious.

Recommended by locals who enjoy good food with an open mind, I have been really surprised by the menu of Pearl's : some combination and cooking style I have never had before (it was my first real southern food restaurant), and they were all very nice. As we shared different plates, I cannot remember which one was the best, but... More

Stopped at this gem...Started off with the craw-fish corn chowder which was served with the most delicious peach zucchini bread I have ever had. For lunch, We ordered a smorgasbord of food. Cajun shrimp fettuccine, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, fried chicken with collard green, and washed it all down with a cherry margarita. Despite the fact it's a... More

I added an hour to my travels today just to make the time to eat at Pearl's! I had to get my fix before winter. Made it in time for Happy Hour Specials (3p -6p daily)... And got the $3 Fried Green Tomatoes (which I have been unable to replicate at home) and Shrimp n' Grits. I was experiencing bliss.... More
