We have been coming here for years and have never left disappointed. From the large bourbon selection to the menu staples like jumble ya ya to Etuffe, this place is awesome!

We tried their jambalaya and étouffée and it wasn't even close to the real deal. If you've ever been to Louisiana then you know what real Cajun food tastes like. It was a northern rendition of Cajun food because it did not bring the heat. The flavor a were rather bland. Now the atmosphere and drinks were outstanding! We had... More

First based on another review that mentioned Pearls as a new restaurant, we thought it was new. The building is old and dated inside, or maybe really rustic is a better term. Initially the hostess wanted to seat us at a table that was by the waitstaff station and kitchen. We skied to be seated elsewhere. As soon as we... More

Have been coming to this area since 1940! Wish we'd had Pearls back then. Slam-dunk for interesting food, well-prepared and presented, attentive staff, moderate prices. What else can one wish for in this gorgeous area/ Not much!

Amazingly good flavoring in the food!!! We had several things and they were all outstanding, especially my jambalaya!! Our waitress was very nice and quick. We arrived at happy hour time and tried a couple of appetizers. Everything was delicious. We'll definitely eat here again!!

Pearls, great bar, and neat food. We've gone several time, earlier the better the place can get real bizzy. Great service and the food is fun, nice menu. They have had several events in the past which have been a really good time. Like the Blue's and Bourbon event was great fun, not sure if they still do thane??

Yummy dinner but a few suggestions: order as many starters as possible - they are all amazing!!! Crawfish crab cakes are a must have -- as are the Cajun shrimp! Dinners were almost too big. Kids menu a bit limited as is the wine menu which is why I took a star away. Lots of bourbons. Must have hot fudge... More

Heard about Pearl's thru Traverse magazine, finally got here. I'm in heaven, love the New Orleans decor, the zydeco music, the friendly waitress, the drinks and the food. Had specialty drinks, sampler appetizers, cheddar jalapeño cornbread, she had the etoufee, I had the jambalaya, cobbler, all great! Just wish it was closer to Manistee.

I love etouffee. If you think you might like a spicy Cajun meal give it a try. They offer it with shrimp, crawfish and something else but for tradition go with the crawfish. Its spelled crawfish not crayfish......isn't it?
