Went to Pearls for lunch. We sat outside on the patio. Waitress Jessica was great. Very efficient and pleasant. I had the luncheon beef brisket with cheddar potatoes and collard greens. Everything was delicious . Generous portion and reasonably price. Husband had crayfish enchilada with...asparagus. That was the special of the day. He said it was superb. The asparagus was small and from the farm down the road.More

This restaurant is amazing. Whenever my family and I are up north, I always try to stop by. Their gumbo is the best I’ve ever had, and I recommend it to everybody!

We hadn't been here in a few yrs but recently met friends for dinner. The food was very mediocre. I had blackened catfish that came with hush puppies and a vegetable. Though I cant say anything bad about the sides, the fish was a very...small portion so at $22 was very inadequate and overpriced. My husband's fried chicken was not anything special. Our server was good and attentive otherwise I would've given even fewer stars. Sorry to say I don’t feel like going back.More

Wonderful restaurant! Loved finding Cajun food in the middle of MI, and especially appreciated the vegetarian selection. 10/10 recommend

This was such a treat to find in Elk Rapids while on a drive through Michigan for our fall color tour. We saw a sign along the road for a Cajun/Creole restaurant where you just wouldn't expect it. I love Cajun food so we stopped...for a midday snack. Brooke was our waitress and she was excellent. She told us which foods were spicy, which ones were popular and what to expect. She came back often to check on us too!! I ordered a cup of gumbo and it was perfectly spiced (I like spicy foods) and the ingredients were think and delicious. I also got the crawfish cakes (an appetizer) and it was absolutely delicious!! My friend (who doesn't like spicy foods) ordered the spiked French onion soup and the grits appetizer- which he said were both amazing and delicious. We also got a basket with a tiny loaf of French bread and two pieces of spicy corn bread. Considering we went in there for a snack, we came out of there totally stuffed because the food was too good to waste!! A taste of New Orleans in the small town of Elk Rapids!! I can't wait to eat a full meal there!!!More

Best Creole I have ever had, including what my mother used to make. When I first sat down and looked at the menu I was disappointed that Shrimp Creole wasn't listed. When waitress came I asked and she informed me that there is always a...pot on the stove. So glad I askedMore

We made a reservation here, and were glad we did, as otherwise on a Saturday at 6:30, a walk-in would have waited two hours. Even with a reservation we had a brief wait (which they had told us was likely—no issue there). The indoor waiting...area was overcrowded, with few people wearing masks, so on a nice night we waited outside and our table was ready shortly. The place was full, and the walls kitschy and tacky. The food is, as promised, all New Orleans style, which was a good change of pace for us. But it was nothing special. The friend green tomatoes were limp and only passable, and the jambalaya was too watery and had only small amounts of seafood in it. If we lived in the area, I wouldn’t be tempted to go back.More

Staying in Elk Rapids, this place came highly recommended by our Air BnB host. It DID NOT disappoint! Atmosphere was what I would imagine New Orleans like (never been there) and the food was hot, fresh and oh so good! I had the shrimp po...boy and my wife got the fried chicken. They were simply outstanding. We also got an order of hush puppies and they were the best pups we have ever eaten. Service was outstanding and when I'm back in the area, we will for sure hit this place!More

Stumbled on this place for lunch and had a great meal. Everything was good, the crawfish chowder was amazing. I wish I lived a little closer.

Pearl's seems to have been transported direct from New Orleans. A great menu with drinks to compliment your meal. If you like Cajun food this is the best place in northern Michigan to find it.

My family and I found ourselves up north around dinner time, looking for something flavorful. My daughter suggested Pearl's. I love Cajun cuisine. My favorite vacations have been to New Orleans and loved my eating experiences there. Started with the cheddar grits. Absolutely on point....Wife ordered fried okra and I ordered gumbo. Seasoned to perfection. The jambalaya was great. Meaty and hearty. The seafood Alfredo was topped off with several blackened shrimp. And the chicken Alfredo was covered with several spicy strips of chicken. The cocktails were devine. Their flavors transported me back to Bourbon Street..beinets for dessert, seizures with powdered sugar and dark fudge sauce.. mmmm! So Good! Please stop in. If you're like me, you don't treat yourself as often as you should. Don't delay. This food will make you want to catch some beads and party.More

Taste of New Orleans up North... Worth a stop if you're close! We had a crawfish cake, turkey-bacon muffuletta, and a bowl of jambalaya--mmm!! We also had the bread and jalapeno cornbread, which were a great addition. The Cherry Margarita and Kentucky Buck were super...yummy. Unfortunately, we were so full we didn't have a chance to get anything else... But would love to try more things on the menu and save room for dessert and coffee! :)More

Obviously when you are in the North of Michigan, New Orleans style dishes are hard to find. Pearl's serves up a decent fare for those who enjoy canjun seasonings and the flavors one finds in the Big Easy. I am not expert on the genre,...but I tried the Southern Fried Chicken with the cheddar mashed. It was quite moist & delicious. My fellow lunchmate had a club style po-boy sandwich which he labeled excellent. If you are in this rather less travelled area around Elk Rapids, I would reccomend you stop and partake of their extensive menus. The indoor and outdoor eating areas are comfortable and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable. Thumbs up for Pearl's.More

Sorry I have no answer for that. I’ve never called for a reservation and only waited 10 minutes on a busy summer Friday evening.
