Searching on TA I saw this had Vegetarian and Gluten free items so I went. Arrived and they had separate menus for both, which I thought was pretty cool instead of looking for “GF” on items. She took my drink order and offered me a...couple gluten free muffins “why yes please”. Ordered the Creole Shrimp and service was fast. Muffins were warm and food was hot. I even asked for a couple more muffins for the road. Great place and will make a point to come back.More

I've been going to Pearls for years and I always get the appetizer of their barbecue shrimp. Yesterday I went in, ordered my same thing and asked for a little extra sauce on the shrimp. (like I always do) When they brought my order out,...it was 6 tiny little dried up shrimps for 13.00 and they put some sauce in a little condiment cup. And charge me $6 more for the sauce..SIX DOLLARS! That is outrageous. 20 bucks for 6 tiny dried up shrimp with sauce. There is no way that tiny little cup of barbecue sauce was worth six bucks. Let alone $13 for 6 dried up shrimpMore

A little underwhelmed with our meals the other night after hearing such rave reviews from friends. The red bean cake was devoid of flavor but the brisket was good, not great, but good. The sazerac cocktail had a strong anise taste. In New Orleans the...anise is there, just not as overwhelming. The wait staff was great though! Probably won’t go back as there are so many other great northern MI restaurants to try.More

Overcooked and undercleaned. I had heard from a friend that they had great fried chicken. They only have a fried chicken breast on the menu and it was over cooked and very thin. The cornbread and collard greens were good. The entire surface area of...the floor seemed to have a grease layer that could not be mopped up. Kind of like walking on ice. This place could be great, like so many northern MI places, but it was subpar and not worth the trouble to go to.More

Wow! What a great spot! Super service, awesome food, and a fun atmosphere! We enjoyed 2 Crawfish Enchiladas Dinners and the Tap Sampler. We can see why it's the #1 restaurant in Elk Rapids.

Stopped in for dinner after a day of boating, and we were delighted to find that the food and service are still outstanding! We’ve been disappointed that the pandemic has caused so many problems for some of our other favorite restaurants, glad to see that...Pearl’s has withstood the pressure and continues to serve wonderful meals at a fair price.More

Neat restaurant not too far from Traverse City. It has a neat Mardi Gras decor. My toddlers liked it...and there is a kid friendly menu. Food was good. My husband braved the crawfish menu

This was our third visit to Pearl's, which is an outstanding Cajun and Creole restaurant for northern Michigan. I am a regular in New Orleans, so I have ready comparisons. The food here is among the better restaurants in NOLA. Loved the shrimp and grits,...blackened fish is good, and authentic poor boys. Service is always friendly and attentive. We'll be back!More

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Pearl’s. Our waitress, Brooke, was attentive, helpful and friendly. Our catfish, mine fried, hubby’s blackened, were perfection. The tartar was fresh and tasty, the hush puppies were excellent and the hot honey dipping sauce was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for...a better anniversary dinner. Also, servings were generous enough for catfish tacos tonight. Thank you. Only wish you had the awesome oysters, but understand supply chain issues.More

You would not expect a restaurant of this quality in the rural location that it is in. Pearls kitchen has delicious seafood and cajun food. The environment is fantastic. It is also a great value. If you are ever in the area, you must stop...and visit.More

The dessert was horribly hard (bread pudding), the greens were far too sweet, The shrimp was good but not enough grits. Service was very good ( that’s why they got any stars). The white rice under the red beans were crunchy (under cooked). Sorry folks,...I don’t understand why there were so many people there because the god was just plain bad!More

The setting was fun and festive, the food fell short. Gumbo was too spicy, even for my husband who loves “hot” food. The shrimp and grits were very bland. The pork tenderloin was very good as was the crawfish chowder. Waitress was abrupt and rude....We would not come back.More

Sorry I have no answer for that. I’ve never called for a reservation and only waited 10 minutes on a busy summer Friday evening.
