The Cabbage Shed is a water front pub that has the character and flavor of an "up north" establishment. There are fresh, local food items including our fish tacos, and 1/2 lb. Shed Burger. Live music is a staple on Friday and Saturday nights. Our waterfront patio and tikki bar allows for boat access. Having a wedding, party or event here will bring family and friends together for a party you'll never forget! Memories are made here, and you'll always want to be at "The Shed".

We were a little leery of eating inside, since the outside seating was full. However, we were seated in a large room with only one other couple. When we almost completed with our meal, other people were seated, but they sat far away from us, for which we were pleased. Our server was great and gave very good recommendations. The Michigan Cherry Pork Ribeye was very good and the Blackened Fish Tacos were excellent!!!

Long time restaurant with a varied menu. Bar scene with somewhat pricey food. My husband had the mushroom chicken pasta and raved about it. I ordered fish and was not impressed even though had been told it was great. It was pressed fish of an unknown fish name and fried very dark … didn’t eat it and they graciously took it off bill and had me order something else. I got the caprese salad which came with avocado and was delicious and fresh. Would go again and eat it. Must say a quaint bar on water and our service was excellent. Will try again!

With a nice varied menu, this place has lots to offer from sandwiches and nice entrees for meat and fish choices.
The servers are extremely nice and the setting is special located on a bay close to Lake Michigan.
Indoor and outside seating is available with distancing and masks required except when eating.

The food quality is cheap but they charge high prices! The deep fried cheese curds were nothing more than deep fried breading. Ordered an open face prime rib sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes with a vegetable. They brought out a plate with instant mashed potatoes covered with the vegetables and the sandwich was a piece of toast with a little bit of prime rib for which they charged $18. I wasn't sure if they had maybe dropped the plate on the way to the table. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Years ago when the Clapp family owned the Shed, it was a top choice for a weekend dinner with the kids. Great food at reasonable prices. Current ownership open only during the most profitable months and totally screw their patrons with mediocre food, slow service, and outrageous prices. There are much better choices.

Very good food. I had fish and chips. The batter was quite good and certainly not thick. Much better than any other I have ever had. My husband had the tortilla soup. He said it was good-had more than a bit of bite to it. Spicy is not for me.
The coleslaw was ok. I sensed cilantro in it which is a put off. Can’t stand it.
Although I have mentioned some negative aspects here, I would go back. The atmosphere was quiet (after the summer rush) and the neighborhood was equally quiet.
I’d give them 5 stars but their prices are astronomical. Really over the top.

After 51 years, I finally made it back to Frankfort. It seems Frankfort has become a place for great food. Met at this place for dinner on Friday night July 24, 2020. The food was great and everyone in our party of 12 had a great experience. So good, we decided to return again on Sunday night! Without a doubt, try the Borscht soup. It is hearty and oh so yummy!!!

The Cabbage Shed is a fun place to dine. There is a lovely outdoor area overlooking the water. Many evenings there is music. The menu is varied. The service is prompt and friendly.

We enjoyed the view and the staff was great. Food was enjoyed by the entire party. I would recommend the Cabbage Shed to anyone who hasn’t been there!

A lovely evening to eat out on the porch. Great view! Good salads, and good borscht. Nightly special was huge. Don’t come expecting spice… there isn’t any.

Do NOT miss this place! Incredible fish and chips. Enjoyable entertainment. Superb wait staff! If you enjoy Irish whiskey, check the listing and be ready to make a difficult decision!

This is a great place to eat and drink outdoors right by the bay and listen to music. The staff are very friendly. They have a large outdoor dining area with also a large lower seating area for drinking and enjoying music. From the outdoor seating you have a very good view of the Bay. We enjoyed the food a lot. We split the borscht soup, and then one of us had shrimp and chips, while the other had fish and chips. They were both excellent. The seafood was fresh and the batter/breading -- different for the fish and the shrimp, and both clearly house-made--were crips and flavorful. Both dishes came with good fries and with a tasty slaw based with some good cilantro and lime flavors. They really do have a huge selection of Irish whiskeys, and the one we tried made for a very good dessert.

My wife and I stopped here for dinner. We had a very nice table outdoors with a great view of Betsie Lake. The food was very good and we would definitely stop here again.
