Good food, good drinks, great people. Tucked just north of Hiawatha National Park on Michigan 123 is a little Grill and Pub name Silver Creek Grill and Pub. Featuring delicious pub food, good drinks, and a manager/owner named Penny who LITERALLY SAVED OUR LIVES, this...restaurant and bar is a must stop for thirsty travelers, hungry hikers, and people who have broken down anywhere south of Paradise and north of Eckerman. Having AAA, Uber, and Google Maps mean nothing when you have neither cell service or WiFi and thankfully, blessedly, Silver Creek Grill and Pub has WiFi and a woman named Penny armed with phone books and a land line. While eating a delicious burger with an olive mayo tapenade and a side of fried pickles and sucking down 3 vodka sodas, Penny and a couple of locals helped us navigate the wilds of the UP auto towing and repair service industry. Over the next two hours, they held our hands helping us secure a tow truck, repair shop, and a ride from a local, Brian, who got us safely back to Soo (turns our tow truck drivers don’t transport you during COVID). Thank you so much Penny for making what could have been a very terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day into a funny anecdote we can laugh about in the future.More

We stopped in because we heard that they were one of the few places open this time of the year. They were busy however they managed to get us a seated rather quickly. The food that came out of the kitchen looked quite good. We...tried the fish and it was quite tasty. Next time I think we will try the burgers. It took a while however they were very busy that evening.More

Small diner/pub food. Nothing special but certainly adequate. Quaint little place with small town atmosphere. Very friendly service! Prices not bad.

Given there’s not a lot of choices in the area, this little dive has some good food at good prices, and that’s why I gave it a 5/5. I would describe it as an “authentic backwoods yooper bar” complete with stuffed animals on the walls....My granddaughter was fascinated by the stuffed bobcat on the wall and loved the tatortots. It has a simple menu and a full bar. If you’re looking for an authentic local experience, this seems like the place.More

I took my grandchildren here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The woman who waited on us was extremely pleasant and went out of her way to make our meal great. My granddaughter loved the deep-fried dill pickles and my grandson had a grilled cheese...sandwich. I had the fish and it was excellent. The breading was light and it had a wonderful flavor. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.More

went there on a busy friday afternoon during snowmobile season, waitress took our drink orders within 5 minutes. probably another 5 to take our food order. Only took another 5 minutes or so to get our food. 15 minutes may seem like a long time...to some but some of the U.P. bar/restaurants take way longer just to get your drink order. food was excellant.More

I wasn't expecting much but was very surprised by the excellent service, friendly staff, and other patrons being so nice! The kids were very happy their meal came with pudding! All adults chose a different burger and were very happy!

Ate here one night as nowhere else was open! Friendly staff, food edible but not particularly appetising.

Was recommended to us for the whitefish dinner- was hoping the menu had more options but its quite limited for dinner type food mostly just bar menu items except for the whitefish. For $10.95 I go 3 small pieces of fish, dry fries and a...plastic cup of coleslaw that probably came from Rhinehart or Sysco. No roll. Fish was OK but nothing to write home about, waitress never returned to ask how our meal was or if we wanted anything else. My wife got a grilled cheese sandwich if that gives you some idea of the menu selections for an evening meal. The atmosphere is not of a clean environment and we are native UP'ers so we're used to seeing alot. Just didn't get a good vibe looking at the bathrooms and into the corners of the seating areas- hadn't been touched in a while. Theres not many choices for food in the area so your kinda stuck.More

Spring hiking on the North Country Trail before most eateries open for the tourist season. Silver Creek Grill was a geat surprise and an important addition to the list of places open year-around. Eckerman is between M-28 and Paradise and shares property with a small...lodge rental. The short of it: Wow. Great food, very quick, attentive service, and just a totally acceptable travel stop. Around the table the ten of us had six outstanding whitefish dinners, chili, a burger, mushroom app, cauliflower app, chili dogs and onion rings and not a misfire in the bunch. And crisply chilled beer, plus fries and cole slaw. Our waitress was hustling to get our orders in and out in very good order, the cook herself came out twice to check on us. We left a hefty tip in appreciation! Place itself is small -- maybe 15 tables -- and looks a little rugged from the exterior. Interior is fine. New floors, updated bathrooms, they take credit cards and offer wi-fi. This is a fine old place in the tradition of old-time UP roadhouses, and you'll enjoy a visit. Tell the ladies you heard about them from the hiker group! Absolutely recommended!More
