We swung by because we heard they had a bloody mary bar on Sundays. We enjoyed our time there. Service: Our server was super friendly. He took the time to talk to us for awhile. We only had chicken fingers but they were tasty. Atmosphere: "Dive bar"ish but I mean that in the most endearing way. Really excellent guitar player/singer... More

All the locals eat here, waitstaff and bartenders are really nice and friendly. Food is typical bar good, not the best, but the best that Tawas has to offer. Frings are their signature item, a mixture of onion rings and French fries. Big menu, fun place, friendly, downtown!

My husband and I ate at Barnacle Bill's during a recent stay in East Tawas. We enjoyed the food and great deal and the feeling of being in a hometown restaurant even better.

This is your basic burger joint, although they do have other foods. This is a very loud, friendly, great place to visit for great food and great service. Although it's a bar, it's very family-oriented. Each night they have a different special-priced meal. The favorite is burger night. The place is packed and raucous. You never see an unhappy face... I've been here on a Sunday for lunch and had a delicious, lightly pan fried, 7 piece, perch dinner with tasty cole slaw, a hot corn muffin, and baked potato. Also, enjoyed the folk music/guitar of Joe Free. Came back on a Saturday evening, had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. It was busy but the staff was... More

Large menu. Good bar good. Bacon cheeseburger hit the spot. Cuban sandwich was excellent. Service was pleasant.

Need to give a positive shout for Barnacle Bill's. We came in on a Sunday afternoon. My companions were wishing for lake perch. They found lightly breaded, pan fried perch Heaven here! I thoroughly enjoyed the Walleye done in the same fashion. The accompanying coleslaw was creamy. The hot cornbread muffin and sweet potato fries with sweet dipping sauce were... More

This is a nice place and the food is good. The service is a little slow but not that bad. They have a few tables outside so you can enjoy your food out there.

A lot of our friends like their food but I have yet to have anything there that wasn't awful. One time when they were really busy, they had set up an extra bar style back of the restaurant. They actually charged me $.50 extra there than at the other bar at the front. Fraud on the part of the server?

The staff were very friendly and helpful during our breakfast stops. Seems like it would be a fun place to be in the evening.
