My mom and I popped in for lunch. I hadn't had Pita Pit in quite some time, but it was just as good as I remembered. We were the only customers in the store, though. Our pitas were tasty as always. I would've given 5...stars, except a couple of days after visiting this Pita Pit, we visited a different location and that pita was phenomenal (they were more generous with the amount of ingredients they put on the pita).More

The ingredients used here were always very fresh, and the students who worked here were quite friendly. For a quickee sandwich place it was quite good - nice fresh healthy ingredients. Then it was sold to a new owner who essentially, shooed away all of...the regular staff who knew what they were doing (they must teach them that in MBA school). They've been replaced largely by dullards who stand around having personal conversations while the line piles up. The principle behind Pita Pit, is they make your pita to order, some of this, some of that, etc. So when they don't follow your instructions - makes it pretty frustrating. Oh, so I have a good one. On my last trip (and it will be my last forever), I ordered a Chicken Caesar - the most popular pita they sell. Chatty Cathy was talking about her cat or something while she took my order. Once we got to the "what do you want on it" stage, she said "we don't have Caesar dressing" - uh, that's sort of a critical ingredient in a CAESAR anything, so it would have been nice if you'd mentioned that while I was placing my order. Then they "didn't have" provolone cheese - I put that in quotes, because Chatty Cathy explained they did have it, but it was "in the back" - so I guess it must have been like if it was on top of Mt. Everest or something - unattainable? When my wife went to order, they were "out" of something else. When I got my pita, the chicken had been so thoroughly masticated by Chatty on the grill, it was like eating "chicken sand". This kind of crap NEVER happened before boy wonder bought the place. Another epic fail from someone that obviously knows nothing about customer relations or food service. Sorry Pita Pit, we loved you for years, now we must part forever.More

Lunch hour and out of ingredients, didn't make soup today and a mess behind the counter. Food good but will close soon if they don't get their act together

Looking for something healthy to eat on the run, try the Pita Pit. We were so pleased with both the fast service and healthy choices they serve. You get to choose meat type and what ever veggies you want on your pita. The choices are...many and they have several sauces to add to the flavor. They even offer a black bean option to meat. Good and healthy at a great price.More

If you're tired of burgers, try this place. The food is good for you, tasty, filling and not hard on your wallet. Made to order right in front of you. Great place to drop in for a quick bite. Right across from campus, plenty of...students.More

It is difficult to find really good vegan food when traveling. The Pita Pit, while not a vegan restaurant, had some great vegan options. Their veggie pita is huge and packed with all sorts of vegetables. I know where I'll eat again the next time...I'm in East Lansing.More
