Stopped in for dinner last night (Friday) after a MSU event. Not very crowded and were seated quickly. Live music with an acoustic guitar player was an added bonus. Most of us had burgers and my wiStoppedfe had to try a Long Island (very good). The food was served fast and hot. I was surprised that the $9 to $12 burgers had an extra charge for lettuce and tomato. The burgers were good but the patty was a little small for the bun. Fries were OK and the wife's chili fries were OK. If it wasn't for the good tasting burgers, this would only get a 3 star for being average. I would consider eating here again but wouldn't mind trying the many other eateries in the area.

Heard about the Peanut Barrel on the Big Ten Network's Campus Eats and wanted to check it out for myself. This is a great place right across from the MSU campus and has that college town restaurant feel. The wait staff was all very nice and helpful. I ordered the Olive Burger which I found out is a Michigan (Lansing) creation. If you enjoy green olives then this is the burger for you. If not there are many other options on the menu and everyone in my party was happy with their food. One downside was that they up charge everything! You want cheese - up charge, fries with that - up charge, lettuce on your burger (yes lettuce) = up charge. Definitely worth the visit and we'd probably go back again.

This a fun local hang out with a good vibe and food to match. Loved all the memorabilia decorating the walls. We all had burgers-they do offer a vegetarian patty available. The meals were tasty, properly prepared, and at a reasonable price. The patio wasn’t opening the chilly day we visited but would be a great sales of fun in warmer days.

As always, stellar service from Jill. I decided no burger today so I tried the chicken salad and it is great. Long Islands are the best around. Had the whole family there and they take very good care of us and especially our grandkids!

I was on a personal appointment in the area. I grabbed an outdoor table and enjoyed a nice break with AMAZING service from Reyna. I ordered the best cheeseburger and a glass of wine. The owner stopped by my table to chat - soooo very nice! This is a great family place, friend's place, or just by yourself place. This a GEM - do not skip this opportunity.

Small place near campus. Food was reasonably priced and yummy! We had corned beef sandwich and chicken sandwich. Service was friendly ! Will come back next time in town!
