Ai Fusion combines the best of Korean, Japanese, and Western styles to offer you a dining experience unlike any other. We have a large sushi bar, plenty of seating and private dadami rooms. Ai Fusion caters to many occasions. Lunch is available Monday through Friday 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We have a fully stocked bar with signature cocktails, extensive sake and wine choices, as well as import, domestic and craft beers. Reservations are available on the half hour for parties of 4 or more, with an hour or more notice. Please give 24 hour notice for parties of 15 or more.

Nice dinner before MSU master music grad recital

We ate here on St. Patrick’s Day! It wasn’t busy at all (probably because it was a Sunday). We had a lovely meal. Delicious plum wine, takoyaki, an Eating Nemo Roll, & a Monsoon Roll.

Great for lunch

Tremendous variety on menu. We've tried them all but usually go back to our favorites. Sushis are works of art. Nice discount on Mondays! Price is right.

Good food, but...

We love this place! The food is fantastic and the spicy tuna poppers are a huge favorite with our family And we especially love 25% off Mondays!! But the service is always hit or miss-usually miss Tonight we went for our daughters birthday and I ordered the sunomono ceviche as I usually do and it was missing half the elements of the dish. When the server finally came back and I inquired she said she would bring me the missing portion and that there was a new chef. She never returned-except with the bill. When I inquired on our way out she said "the other girl" was supposed to have told us that they have changed this dish and it is is no longer available as it was before. Half the food for the same price. Very disappointing as this was the best part of the dish. Without this (tuna and salmon poke??) it is just sashimi with a spoonful of seaweed salad. Again, very disappointing. I guess my husband, myself and our six kids will be going to Sansu again!

Higher prices smaller portions

This has been our family’s favorite for years! After being closed due to Covid for the last two years they finally reopened. We were so excited!! The spicy tuna poppers are ALWAYS a must…but not anymore. They’re literally half the size. Used to be three whole jalapeños, now it’s one and a half. Could barely pick them up without them falling apart. All the rolls were super small. The salad is an up charge now. No bread for the jalapeño/cilantro mussels. No one to cut a lemon for our water??? So disappointing…

Exquisite, delish!!!! Will go again!

AI Fusion moved into the former Pistachio's restaurant on Grand River Avenue, and did gorgeous renovations. Had lunch there with a friend. It was SO hard to choose from their extensive menu! My friend had a Bento box and I ordered two appetizers. Just delicious (!) and I couldn't finish it all - got a take-out box. AI Fusion is sort of tucked away, but so worth finding! You won't be disappointed! Service was great, and their drink selections wonderful too. I love real sushi and sashimi too, so will go back for that!

Sushi!

Went to eat with friends and had an enjoyable meal that didn't disappoint. This place was recommended. We had tuna poppers for apps, then had some eel and something dish. Next we ordered three different sushi trays. The servings were generous and filling. There was a mild traditional type one with crab, cukes, and other flavors, a spicy lobster one, and one called indigestion. We all enjoyed trying the different types along with our misu soup and salad.

Average Food and Poor Service

We went with a group of people (6). None of our food arrived at the same time, our waiter never came back until the every end of the night to check on us. They never refilled our drinks and the food was just average. One person in our group got Salmon and mixed veggies (there was no mixed veggies all broccoli) the server said to dig around as there was a mushroom or two in the dish. There sushi was average.

We had a nice lunch. The Tae Kwon Roll was interesting. It was topped with spicy tuna but we weren’t expecting the tuna to be finely minced in a paste. It had a rather off putting texture. The Big AI roll was wonderful and was the star of the lunch. We also had shrimp nigiri was very good while the Tako nigiri was watery and extremely chewy. I know that Octopus may not be tender but I could barely chew through this. Overall it was alright.

Mitch was GREAT, the Hostess was another story

So I call to make a reservation for one of their rooms that you sit on the floor for my sons birthday. I told the person taking my reservation that I wanted the special room you sit on the floor three different times. When we arrived they told us we didn’t reserve it which is now the 2nd time this has happened. The hostess was not friendly and acted like I booked it wrong. Fortunately, our waiter was great. Mitch did an outstanding job. The rolls are average but fairly priced. I would have given a higher rating if it wasn’t for the hostess.

BAD service, not great food.

The food was just OK. The service was pretty bad. The Chef's Choice Sushi was ordered by my husband. He said he would not order it again. One piece of raw fish tasted "not very good" during the meal. I ordered a mushroom roll and avocado roll. They have a very small vegetarian roll section on the menu. I am vegan, so I am even more limited in choices. (No dairy or eggs.) The cheap salad they serve before entrees come out was gross. Tasteless iceburg lettuce and ginger dressing. That's it. The dressing has changed since last visit. My husband said it's more sweet and less ginger flavor. I could not eat it, because it contains milk. My two rolls came out to the table and the waitress said my husband's food would be out in a minute. Over 5 minutes later, still no Chef's Choice dish! I only ate two pieces and was trying to wait for his food to show up. So we could eat together, like its supposed to be brought out: together. This really made me mad. We were looking around for her, to ask were it was. She came over and said "sorry, they are working on it." If I had not stopped eating, my food would have been all gone by the time he got his. This was the kitchen's fault, but a good waitress knows to bring the food all together. The kitchen staff should know how to time foods better!! Note to those with PERFUME SENSITIVITY: the women's restroom has a super strong air freshener in there. It makes me almost gag! Has always been this way here. I don't like it. We are not going back. It has gone downhill for awhile now.

Tasty sushi!

I first heard about AI Fusion from a co-worker and recently tried it and I'm in love! I got the lobster roll and my boyfriend got some kind of noodles. We both enjoyed our meals! Very delicious, would recommend to anyone wanting some tasty sushi!

Went out for dinner with my husband and was delightfully surprised at how great it was. First, I went knowing my options would be very limited (no soy, no dairy) and I do not like having to make special requests. Our waiter, though, was super knowledgeable and helpful. I felt like he genuinely was looking out for me. We went with his recommendations and we were not disappointed. Tuna sashimi for me. A special roll with scallops and shrimp tempura for my husband. We began with White Tuna Tataki. Unreal. It was so delicious we ordered another. Simply looking at it on the menu, I would have never ordered it. Now, it'll be my go to. All in all, great date night.

Good food, good service, okay atomosphere

Very good sushi, good soups (large bowls) and excellent fried rice. Service was good. The only constructive comment is the outside of the restaurant does not look impressive and the inside is average as well. But if you are going for the good food and service, this place is right for you. Enjoy.
