the locals love it, the rest of us... meh! COVID Protocols? not so sure.

It's good to know they hire local gals with little or no training in customer service and possibly little understanding that the customer is spending their hard earned money. $5.75 might not seem like much money to you or them, but $39 for 2 cokes, fried pickles, a nacho, and a taco salad seemed a little high. We sat down and we quickly scanned the digital menus and made up our minds. The wait staff person asked us if we wanted Guac and sour cream and we said yes. We didn't know that we had just added $5.75 to our bill. When we paid I mentioned to the wait staff person that it might be a good idea to help the customer understand what they are ordering by indicating that there are charges for Guac and SC. Her less than awesome reply was "Well it's on the menu". I am not sure what my dinner companion tipped, but for me it would have been less the $5.75. We traveled to Dewitt to eat at TDH and most likely will be doing that again. There are many places at which to dine out. The food was well prepared and tasty. The tri-color chips were nice and crunchy. However, none of it was outstanding or stood out as great. (like the food at Art's Pub ) The salt/pepper/condiments were brought out in a carrying tray. not sure that they are sanitizing them. Oh yes, one of their wait staff had shorts on that were so tight and short she didn't have to bother to keep adjusting them. Not my daughter!

Always a great stop

Needed a break and figured this was the place. Quiet atmosphere with good regulars at the bar. The staf as always were top notch especially Nicole the bar tender. Steak was my choice tonite though not top end its a good steak with their special seasoning cooked as ordered. Ice cold beer to boot. Enjoy

Great crew always on top of their game

Mary Kate, Morgan, Ashley,Angela and Shana kept the night going. The food was awesome thank you to the cooks and the girls are always friendly and on their game. A good visit and will return again soon. Enjoy

The best!

My in-laws live in St. Johns. Every time my wife and I visit, we must go the draft house. Great burgers and beer. My wife's favorite is the wet burrito. We have never had a bad meal at the Draft House. We will be visiting Michigan during Christmas. I can't wait to have a burger and beer. Hopefully, we will have multiple visits !

I never give a five star review, but this place is worth it. It was good-great food, good service, and excellent ambience. I'd highly recommend the place.

Great atmosphere

I have been visiting this place for years now. Food is always fantastic. Service is top notch. Always as for Nicole, Morgan. Or Sydney. You’ll get the best service. Love this place.

Our 'Go-To' spot.

Over the years the Draft House has been in existence we have been frequent visitors. The fare is a combination of bar food, Mexican dishes and specials. We like the perch and walleye specials throughout the year and the various burgers are the best in the DeWitt area. The place is always packed, the crowd is friendly and the service is great. Taco Tuesday and Friday night are very busy times, but waiting with a stein of draft beer makes the wait worthwhile.

We went on a Sunday evening during peak meal time for our first visit. We chose the restaurant because of the top ratings but we're not impressed. Did not see a hostess station or sign to wait to be seated so we sat ourselves. We didn't get greeted for almost 10 minutes after making eye contact with the multiple servers that walked past our table- even a hi someone will be right with you sort of thing. The items we ordered we're all things that weren't freshly prepared- like appetizers & burgers that came from the freezer or store bought guacamole. Everything was mediocre. Like wasn't bad but nothing that made me want to recommend this place to anyone.

Fun family joint

Had a family dinner here after an all day pool party. We had a party of 8 and never had to look for our server for anything. Great selection of beers and a menu that offered something for everyone. Most of the party had salads, burgers or sandwiches. I had the hickory smoked wings. Everything was tasty and portions were adequate. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

Good variety, tasty food, and nice service!

We went here for dinner this past Saturday night and were very pleased! My brother and sister-in-law suggested this as they've eaten here many times. I had the baked salmon with the honey cashew sauce and it was amazing! It was $14.95. My brother had the baked chicken but it was very small and overcooked unlike the time he had it before (he loved it then!) My dad had the French Dip sandwich and said it was very tasty - so big he took 1/2 home. It was like $8.50. So pretty good value. A friend had another chicken entrée which he said was very good. It's a bar and it's not pretty. It's cozy and comfortable and the wait staff are very efficient and friendly. We recommend it highly!

Cozy atmosphere & good bar food

Stopped here on our way through town, and were very happy with the place. Good food and portion sizes, friendly wait staff, and prompt service. Plenty of TVs to watch the games, and an excellent variety of beers on tap. We will definitely stop in again.

You walk in and seat yourself. We picked a big booth. I went to sit down and the seat cushion is cracked and starting to fall apart. It looks old and gross. Looking around, the lights on the wall above regular booths are covered in dust and cobwebs. I asked for allergy information and was handed a bulky three ring binder. Not every item they serve is in it. The clam chowder for example. As a vegan I do not eat dairy, eggs, meats, or seafood. I thought about trying the Spicy Black Bean Burger. The patty has no eggs in it, but the gluten free bun does. Waitress said they could use lettuce instead of the bun. I chose the Turkey Orchard Salad, minus the turkey. I added black olives, tomato and onion. Mango Chardonnay dressing. The food came out and the salad looked full of toppings. The dressing was in a to go cup with a lid. I found a few slices of carrots in the salad. I don't think those were supposed to come with it and I did not add them. The dressing has a mellow flavor and I could have used another cup of it. The two other dishes we ordered were nachos and a hamburger. Each meal came with a plastic to go cup with a lid. The nachos is a large portion. Each drink that came out had one or two plastic straws in it. I mention all the one time use plastic because this place is "green." On their website there is a paragraph about it. They should know plastic is not green. We had over a dozen plastic straws used tonight at our table alone. There is a video online showing a sea turtle with a plastic straw stuck in it's nose. It was pulled out with pliers and looked painful.
