Great spot to try some local brews and watch those loser Lions. We had a group and they did fantastic with us. The soft shell crab tacos can’t be beat. Neither can the pineapple cider they have on tap right now.

We sat at our table without being greeted for about 15 minutes. A couple of tables were sat after us, greeted, and got their drinks. So we went to the bartender to see if he could take our order. Lucky for us, he was more...than willing and was amazing. Billy was listed as his name on our receipt and he successfully recovered my experience at this restaurant. There is a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options.More

Maybe good for drinking… but my food tasted like airplane food. Bland. Tasteless. Overcooked. Went upon recommendation from my hotel - the Siren - next doors. Service was sloppy and the waitress at the bar seemed bothered I even asked for a table.

Loved the stock exchange feel of beer prices going up or down based on how popular they were., our beer rose 50 cents after we ordered a couple of pints- a big :scoreboard" keeps track of prices going up and down- very cool concept. Downstairs...bar is like a game room and totally different than upstairs but food is very good as is serviceMore

My sister and I were looking for a place to have a "simple" burger dinner and Detroit Beer did not disappoint. It was just at the start of the Tiger game so the place ha cleared out considerable and we were seated immediately. We had...a couple glasses of on-tap beer which was very pleasant. The waiter even brought us a sample of the house "summer ale" in case we wanted to switch up what we were already having. We added sweet potato fries to our Smash-burger order. The fries were thin sliced, crispy, seasoned just right. Our waiter was attentive and personable (he couldn't stand still though which was a little distracting) but very fast with our orders. We would go again.More

Our waitress was great and helpful. 2 out of the 4 things we ordered they were out of, so we ended up with second choices. Pretzel was more like a light bread and the beer cheese was lumpy. The Red beer was pretty bitter, none...of us liked it. The Old fashioned was great as was the Fineapple cider. Probably wouldn't go back though.More

Stopped for a bite prior to seeing a show at the Opera house. My wife got the Maurice salad and I got the fish tacos. Everything was very good. Beer was great, service was outstanding. If we are in the area again we will definitely...go check out some other menu options.More

Hosted a pre-wedding "Welcome Party" for out of town guests at the Detroit Beer Co over Labor Day weekend. Our group (about 80 people) had the 2nd floor event space to ourselves, which worked out great. We made all arrangements remotely since we are also...from out of the area - and the team at the DBC made it very easy. The atmosphere was perfect for an informal gathering, food & beverages were enjoyed by all, and the service team was especially attentive and easy to work with! Everyone had a wonderful time. It was also helpful to have private bathrooms on the 2nd floor as well as an elevator for older guests. Another added plus was access to 3 large screen TVs for showing videos/slides. Highly recommend for casual private gatherings.More

Not sure what else you need. The beer, service and food were all good. I get the impression this restaurant is working to get back on its post-not-really-post-pandemic feet. But the location is great, it was clean, and Andrew (my server) was exceptionally friendly and...helpful. I had the Beer-B-Q Chicken which was delicious. No complaints. I'd come back again in a heartbeat.More

I had the smash burger, which was very good. I enjoyed the jardiniere sauce on it. We also had the fish and chips, and that was good as well. I tried their house IPA, and it was a solid IPA.

Friendly staff and bartender but that’s about it. Maybe going in for a beer is the way to go. The menu was small and our meals were absolutely terrible. We didn’t eat them and the couple at the next table didn’t eat theirs either. Not...recommended. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but when the food is that bad, diners should be aware.More

Several good beer choices and a solid menu with something for everyone. Definitely a good place to eat and drink while in town, especially if you are going to a Tigers or Lions game nearby.
