LOVE this place! Best Bakery in Detroit

Everything here is amazing. Their bread, desserts, etc. - but especially their bread. HIGHLY recommend! You won't be disappointed

This bakery is pretty fabulous. Once a week, a friend stops on her way to work and picks up warm honey buns. They are to die for! Stop in and pick up something. You will not be sorry.

Wonderful bakery in Midtown. Love the flour-less chocolate cakes! Tasty sea-salt chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter brownies. Nice staff.

Hear me now, and thank me later. You must try the Dequindre Cut vegan trail mix cookie. Amazing! Everything vegan isn't- moist, flavorful, great texture and completely satisfying. Enjoy!

Best baked goods in Metro Detroit! The staff are incredibly friendly. The food is delicious, unique and wonderfully crafted. Cinnamon buns and chai tea are personal favorites. But everything from their cookies to breakfast sandwiches are great. They make a big effort to serve organic and local food. The place definitively has a lot of character. The atmosphere is very... We were delighted to find the Avalon. We had wonderful cookies, mini quiches and on another day, breakfast sandwiches, along with top notch chai and mochas. It's the kind of place you want to find, a genuine neighborhood hangout with personality and good service.

Can't come back to Detroit without a stop at my favorite breakfast place in the Cass. Their pastries are good...coffee excellent...and my favorite epi's and baguettes. This casual coffee house has a city vibe and was a pioneer in this neighborhood many years ago.

We stopped here along a wheelhouse detroit bike tour on a Saturday morning and got sandwiches and fresh coffee. The iced coffee is brewed cold and is delicious and the sandwiches were fresh and satisfying. I'd bring extra cash to take a loaf of fresh bread home for dinner, as well as jams, cookies, and other goodies. Other is also... More

I stopped in here after a meal at a nearby restaurant. They had many types of bread to choose from. I decided to get a multi grain bread when to my surprise and delight was told because it was the end of the day it was buy one get one free. So I was able to get a olive loaf... More

Always something new to try at Avalon. The sea-salt and chocolate chip cookies are to die for. Awesome bread and other delectables. Definitely stop in when you are in the neighborhood.
