The service was very friendly, courteous and welcoming. Our server the first night was Ibrahim, the next night Cameron (yes, we went back a second night). The Chicken Limon was delicious, we had the Sangria, which was served in a pitcher. The tapas were generously portioned as well as the entrees. The manager, Lisa was very accommodating in making sure our experience was enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you have never tried Cuban cuisine, you will not be disappointed!

You know, it's really funny how after travelling around the world and visiting so many different countries, I sometimes neglect to try places when I'm in Detroit. I previously stopped into Vincente's to grab a menu a few weeks ago and promised them I'd be back. I visited Cuba in 2018 but lost my passport as soon as I got there so I did not really get to try much Cuban food, this was an opportunity to rectify that. My mom and I stopped in the resteraunt last night to try something different and got an absolutely amazing experience. We were quickly seated, but a server did not come over for quite some time. To make up for the inconvenience, the amazing manager gave us an order of empanadas and croquetas on the house. They were absolutely divine. The empanadas were complimented by the Aioli sauce and the Croquetas melted in your mouth, reminding me of being back in Spain. For our main dish, my mom was going to get the Paella Cubana and I the Pollo con camarones, but we were told you could ONLY get a two person portion of the Paella, which is a bummer and pretty different to how it works in other countries, but the amazing service and food was enough to overlook it. I ended up getting the Pollo and mom got the Zarzuela. Both were absolutely incredible. Extremely hearty portion sizes and perfectly seasoned and flavoured. The restaurant has an amazing ambiance that really does make you feel like you're back in Cuba or the Caribbean. My only complaint would be that the prices are definitely on the pricier side, but given inflation and the fact that Cuban food probably is not as popular in Michigan as say, Miami or South Florida, I can understand why. We will be back.

The tapas are large enough to be an entree. We wanted a paella but it takes 45 minutes on a slow day, up to 1 hour 45 minutes when it's busy. Next time, we'll plan accordingly. The pollo diablo was delicious, not spicy, and we upgraded to saffron rice. We couldn't find parking and wasn't familiar with the area being from out-of-town. Staff recommended we park in the Z lot next time, it's a parking garage.

Honestly cannot understand the positive reviews. The meat in my dinner was without flavor and over done. Two small plantains, a small cup of black beans and a mound of rice. The best bites were the plantains and rice. Ordered the broiled goat cheese on tomato, the tomatoes had no flavor. The cocktails were so watered down I wasn’t sure there was actual rum in the mojito. Service was quick, too quick. Little time given to decide on drinks and settle. Appetizers were served with our meal. Really disappointed.

Unfortunately, I'm writing a disapproving review. We've been fans of the restaurant since it opened however; this pass week we ordered dinner for our anniversary and our entree's were less then desirable. Both our entree's rice were crunchy, we paid extra for the saffron rice with one of the meals. The zarzuela de mariscos lacked favor. It was really disappointing to say the less because we've celebrated other special occasions here and the food was memorable however; this as an anniversary memory we weren't hoping for.

We went exclusively to eat the Paella Marinara. We ordered in advance to reduce the wait time (takes 45 minutes) and that worked well. The paella had plenty of shrimps, calamari, a few lobsters. Good color. Unfortunately the taste was just good: missing saffron. Would have liked it to have mussels and perhaps a note tasty fish. The Tres Leches was moist . Decent flavor. Service was average. Restaurant was busy in a Saturday evening. There was good intention to serve well, but we had about 4 different people stopping by: unclear who was the server. The background music was so loud we could barely hear each other or the servers for that matter. We had to ask them to please lower it and they did. In short, average food and service.

We ordered 90% of the Tapas menu & two Cubanos sandwiches cut up to share. There variety, the flavors, the healthy alternatives were all great. The only reason I gave them a very good vs excellent was due to the poor water service and our server. We were thirsty the entire meal. We had to ask twice for bigger plates, they finally came when we were just about done, we also wanted to order more food but couldn’t find our server, she finally appeared with the plates & the bill. This was this past Saturday at 2:30pm the restaurant was less than half full. We will be back for the food, it’s very unique & memorable.

I feel like since the pandemic service has declined here. The food is still pretty good but the professionalism of the staff-not so much. I arrived at 9:30pm for dinner, and by 10:15 before our food had even reached us, they were mopping the floors. The smell of the mop solution and having to hear them set up tables and chairs took away from the experience. I strongly recommend that you wait until closing to do that in consideration of your costumers.

Had dinner at Vicente's. Called in for reservations a week in advance. There are some outdoor seating but we sat inside. Service was fast and friendly. For appetizers, we had the tamales. Very flavorful. Dinner, I had the pork leg while my wife had the shrimp. Both were fanatisic. The pork was tender. The sauce for the shrimp had a little kick too it but not too spicy. A very good restaurant.

Absolutely loved the drink menu and the menu had a nice Cuban style. I cannot boat of knowledge of Cuban cuisine, I had to ask lots of questions which the staff was more than happy to answer. I found the food quality but a bit mild on flavor; as explained to me that is a leaning of Cuban food. I will continue to expand my experience with additional Cuban experiences.

The food was very good, well seasoned. Portions are huge. Tapas means little plates but here it means full bowls. Note that the Tapa de la Casa is really the same pork used in Lechon Asado. My son certainly enjoyed the remainders.

We used to love Vicente, but it has gone downhill. I had the croquettes and arroz moro and a sangria. The arroz moro was totally dried out. The waiter knew it when he served it. He asked my wife if she wanted a box for her leftover, but didn't ask me. Clearly, he saw it was barely touched but didn't want to do anything about it. Sadly, we probably won't return. There are far better restaurants in Detroit.

Had a lunch date with a local and was quite pleased with the arroz con pollo. Great little patio across the street from the library made a perfect setting for a quick June lunch. Friendly and prompt service, nice menu, large portions. Diners around me seemed to be enjoying a variety of cocktails but I had to get back to work so I’ll have to visit again someday!

I stumbled across Vincente’s after exploring downtown Detroit. Stopped in for cocktails and a takeaway. Cameron was a charming delight and made me feel welcome! He also made amazing cocktails.
