Visited on the way to the Fisher Theater. Superb collection of Small Plates, artfully prepared with local fresh ingredients. Well worth it for lunch or dinner. Graze through a collection of appetizers and shared larger plates. Save room for deserts that would give any restaurant...More

The food, the cocktails were sublime! Chartreuse is a small place - not stuck up - but very quaint and cozy. The food ...omg, there is nothing I did not like. They do change their menu quite often so to really review an item I...More

Chartreuse is a bit of a secret in Detroit. It doesn't get as much press/praise as say Selden Standard, Shewolf or San Morello, but it is surely their equal. Great service, a tight but well chosen wine list. And a value to boot.

For the first time on a recent visit, we had service that was good, but lacked joy (I know that sounds funny, but most of the folks here love the place they work). Usually the staff is incredibly enthusiastic about the menu (which changes often)....More

Reservations recommended. The hostess advised us to get there directly at 5:00 which we did because we didn't have reservations, but are happy sitting in the lounge area. The place filled up within half an hour on a Saturday evening. The food was very flavorful...More
