When we arrived, the waiting area was packed and spilling over outside. We continued to wait for about 30 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Our party of 7 ordered a variety of foods from enchiladas to fajitas and fried whole tilapia. The chips and salsa were delivered first. The chips were crisp but a bit bland and in... More

By far the best Mexican food in Detroit metropolitan area; good service, good environment, good food. Having worked in SW Detroit for 10 years, can't fun anything close.

The food here is pretty average Mexican fare, but that's not really a criticism since average Mexican fare is generally OK. The chips and salsa were pretty good, and our server fulfilled our request for a hotter version of the salsa - spicy but not overly so. Surprisingly, however, when one member of our party inquired about "chili verde", she... More

We ate here for Father's Day after reading rave reviews. This fish was delish! But I love fish and don't mind the head being on. It was very bony so I did have to be careful but the experience and flavor were really good. My husband ordered Chili Rellenos with cheese filling. We are Chili Relleno fans and order them... More

We chose this restaurant from reviews and were not disappointed. Their extensive and competitively priced menu can be seen online. Our food ( gringos and burritos) was flavoursome. The portions were a good size. Atmosphere and service also good. Very busy at 5.30pm ( Wednesday ) and although we hadn't booked it might be wise to do so, especially at... More

As a teacher, I have brought 3 groups here and it is always a nice experience. The Chile relleno is spicy, cheesy and excellent. The Mi Pueblo dinner comes with 2 meats, rice, salad and tortillas. Tried the chicken and carnitas, which were both high quality. Will try the quesadillas next! Servers aren't always the fastest, but are so patient and accommodating to... More

My wife loves to come here. She is Mexican and will only eat authentic Mexican food. None of that "Tex-Mex". So her opinion of this place is very clear. The food is very authentic and we always leave satisfied. It can be quite noisy at peak times with a lot of noisy kids. They have actually installed sound deadening panels... More

Excellent food. Very good wait service. Not very expensive. Very reasonably priced. Strolling mariachi band at table side on weekend. My new favorite place to eat Mexican food. Don't need Mexican Town when this is available. I will return when ever I can.

After spending the day in Detroit my family decided on Mexican food for dinner. Mi Pueblo had great reviews online so we chose there and it most definitely lived up to the raving recommendations. We had a table of seven people with lots of requests. Despite the large table, the waitress was unfaltering in her service and was extremely friendly.... More
