Had dinner at TJ's based on the recommendation of a family friend. Food was great. Service not so good, not very attentive.

Always a good standby for 30+ years. Good beer, Cheese, and menu items. Bring back the Pita Tostada, and the Mr Natural Crepe please.

The service was not very good at all. Someone in our party ordered a steak and they brought pasta. This happened to the hungriest person in our group:-) Then the waiter blamed it on poor communication, INDEED... Another person in our group ordered salmon and it had bones in it. Then when asked if the fillet salmon was suppose to... More

Not sure what the high reviews are about. If it wasn't for what I read before I arrived, I would have walked in and right back out, unfortunately I stayed. I just don't understand the appeal. I felt the prices were high for the atmosphere, the food was mediocre at best, service was super slow and the waitresses acted like... More

The Traffic Jam is iconic and was once one of the favorite restaurants in the Midtown Detroit area, Now that other restaurants have come on the scene (Motor City Brewery, Selden Standard, Chartreuse), the restaurant has lost its appeal. Food is always good with tasty bread, good salads and menu selection but the setting needs a definite upgrade. Hope to... More

Went due to recommendation, will not go again, nor recommend. A litany of failures, waiter forgot waters, my friends drink, and waited for almost an hour for our food. Had the meatloaf, which tasted like it was reheated, due to being so dry. Friend had the sausage sandwich which was average. Beer was good though. They did give us 1/2... More

This place has a very interesting atmosphere and I really want to like it. But this is one of those restaurants where everything is just standard. Nothing I've had off the menu stands out as being really good.

Stopped here after a bike ride. The beer was good, sandwiches could have been from a deli, nothing special.
