I love Mexican food and this is the real deal - located in southwest Detroit in 'Mexican town' - its been serving authentic Mexican food for many many years - I've been eating here for at least 30 years. The neighborhood is safe, very crowded for lunch and dinner, and on a street with a number of other Mexican restaurants... More

Margaritas were great. One of the best have had. We ordered tamale dinner and nachos. The food was above average, but have had better.

This was a bit of a disappointment. The fajitas were just okay...chicken quite rubbery. Hubby had a seafood enchilada and said it was skimpy on the seafood. Service was downright awful. We had a party of four on a pretty slow evening. The waitress plopped down a little bowl of chips and two salsas. No explanation about which was hot... More

This restaurant is busy, noisy, inexpensive and happy. The food prices are reasonable for large portions. But the gold star definitely goes to the Margaritas! We ordered the ½ carafe that served 2 people nicely and deliciously.

Stopped here for lunch the service was very fast. The margaritas was great. I tried the burrito it was good but not near the best I have had. Will definitely try this place again and try another dish.

I have been enjoying Mexican Village's amazing food for 28 years. I live in Windsor and feel that nothing here can even compare to this delicious Mexican cuisine. Try the flaming cheese and botana (hope I spelt that correct). Great work guys!

our favorite place to go for middle fo the road Mexican I nthe Mexican Town part of town. Much better than Xochimilco's ,etc. over the freeway. Quaint décor inside, not too noisy usually. Good service...usually pretty fast, and the food is great. One of the few places to carry Pacifico (my favorite Mexican beer). Great salsa and all of the... More

You definitely need to have some patience if you come here on a weekend...There can be a tad bit of a wait. But once you're in and seated you are in for a treat!! The food is AUTHENTIC Mexican food and it is delicious!! It's not a romantic place, so don't go for the ambiance, but if you're hungry and... More
