Every now and then, maybe not very often, you should go to a very upscale restaurant, pay an obscene amount of money for your dinner, and see how the swells are living. The Rattlesnake Club is a good place for that. We celebrated a friend's birthday, one of those major, round ones, so we came here. It was a good... More

The food at the rattlesnake Club is very good. The property is very nice and close to the Riverwalk. They have a great outdoor patio. The service is very good. Overall we enjoyed the meal. My only complaint is I think the food is a little expensive. I was also surprised that they charge you to park. When you are... More

First off, we thought the service was exceptional, attentive, helpful and friendly. The choice of the fresh backed breads was very good and our choice of wine that was recommended was excellent. However, two of us had the baked halibut and found it very mushy and the side was very strange. On person had the lamb chops and would not... More

Simply, but elegantly decorated. The server was very friendly and helpful. They are open for lunch and dinner and there is a dress code. There is an extensive wine list, signature cocktails, as well as craft and imported beers. A bread basket came to the table with soft rolls and yummy bread crisps with black sesame seeds. They offer small... More

We were taking an evening walk and thinking about getting some dinner when we came across the Rattlesnake Club near the waterfront at Detroit, where you can look across the river to Canada. We decided on having a quick dinner and very delighted at our choice, which was both delicious and great value. Highly recommended to anyone who likes good... More

...because I'd have dined here every night during my stay in Detroit. WHAT a great restaurant and lovely setting, both inside and out. I had dinner with two colleagues and both raved about their meal, as well. We tried too many items to list here, but you can count on very fresh, very flavorful high-quality ingredients in all the dishes.... More

It's a little off the beaten path, but had lunch at the Rattlesnake Club and had a very enjoyable meal. We sat outside and enjoyed a very pleasant, mild Spring day. It was lovely. I had the grilled cheese, which had several different kinds of cheeses including Brie. Very well prepared and generous portions. Server was friendly and attentive.

The restaurant and location are great, especially outdoor dining in nice weather. The waiters, however, are undertrained and the food was mediocre. This restaurant peaked more than a decade ago and appears to be in need of re-vamping in terms of cooking and service. Great potential. Probably best for drinks and appetizers.
