Environment was great BUT the service was ok only and I had the smoked ribs and they were horrible. Very tough and chewy as well as extremely fatty. No $$ adjustment made for poor quality.

Very good food, especially the chocolate cake. Exceptionally friendly service. Televisions aren't visible throughout the restaurant so if you want to watch a game, ask for a table accordingly.

Sat at the bar to avoid the line. Great service and Cajun food. The crab stuffed mushrooms were an excellent choice. New Orleans style cocktail list.

The service here is outstanding and the food follows in a close second place in the race to capture customers at their tables! Fishbones is a traditionally non-tradition Cajun food restaurant. You'll find all the usual suspects with some new twists to delight your tastebuds. We made a reservation for a late lunch/early dinner (4:30pm) before our show. We were greeted promptly (although finding the lower dining room off the atrium was tricky - better signage is needed). The atrium seating offered would have been quite lonely (it feels like a dying mall atrium) and lacks any true ambiance since the massive/gorgeous water feature is off. Our bill came to $91.82 for two people (no alcohol) with one appetizer, two dinners and two soft drinks. The Beef Tips Bleu was tasty, but the portion was too small for the cost ($20) even when paired with the fresh/hot house rolls. The dinner portions were huge and value at $20 for the Andouille Sausage and $25 for Seafood Cobb Salad. Overall, the food was very tasty, but we would not order an appetizer in the future if the portions are so small. The entree salad, for the price, shouldn't have had one piece of lettuce core or yellow leaves (but there was). The crab and shrimp were fresh, but again for the price add a couple more pieces. The house rolls/bread were good, but they should ask if you'd like a refill (yes, please!). While Andouille Sausage isn't my favorite, my dinner partner assured me it was delicious and was a plentiful portion with red beans and rice. The iced tea tasted to be brewed in house and was fresh. Our server kept drink refills coming. Our server, Michael (ask for him...you won't be disappointed) was friendly and started conversations with us easily without interrupting the flow of service. We noticed that he engaged all his tables and created a lovely sense of community. His customer service is impeccable. We'll definitely return to Fishbones!

I eat at Fishbones at least 2x per month (St.Claire), I always order the catfish beignets and gumbo. I was in downtown Detroit and decided to get a carry-out of the same. NOT THE SAME. Detroit location, I counted 6 beignets, much too crunchy, the gumbo lacked the taste/seasoning that I love so much. The Detroit Fishbones SUCKS.

What a horrible experience we had. We had celebrated our 5th anniversary there years ago and thought what a great way to end our 23rd anniversary date after the Tigers game. Sat at the bar and pretty much was ignored. Should have left but didn't. It was busy at the bar so there was no reason for it. Our waitress was so beyond rude. SHe could have cared less if we were there. Treated us like trash and it was so bad when i asked a question. Two people and her tip was added so why did she care how she treated us . The food was not that good so that just topped it off. Should have went to one of the many amazing greek restaurants on the strip where we are always treated with respect and want you there. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!.

On Saturday, April 29, 2023, my dad and I visited Fishbones in Downtown Detroit, where we told by management prior to arriving, that they could accommodate our reservation and we would need to place a deposit to secure the spot. My dad and I assured her we would be there early the next day. Upon arriving, an older gentleman who may have also been a manager as well approached us asking if we needed help. When we explained why we were there, he immediately went to get Julia Wolfdurham, the supposed General Manager, who pretty much treated us like peasants beneath her instead of valuable customers who have been dining for years! She was not apologetic, remorseful, or even made an attempt to try to be helpful due to the fact that two previous conversations were had with staff and management as well as an email sent directly to her! She made it like we were making it all up and even started to walk away from us as we were still talking to her! Rude and unprofessional isn’t even the words but it was definitely at its best if I’d ever experienced it! Being a business owner myself, I would be utterly disappointed if my GM were making my customers feel the way my father and I felt standing there! However even through all the disrespect and frustration, I am happy to say we were able to find a REAL professional General Manager who knows how to handle his customers and their concerns as well as treat people with dignity and respect! He happily booked my mom’s birthday dinner! I feel sad for this location and its business owner if this is how she consistently mistreat customers and make them feel! We were made to feel as we were an interruption and bother to her! I needed to let it be known publicly how “well” Ms. Durham is doing at her job and making loyal customers feel welcomed at their establishment!

A little bit of New Orleans in downtown Detroit complete with Hurricane's, Po Boys, Crawfish and Mardi Gras Beads. What a feast and it was soooo tasty. If you a looking for a authentic Southern or Cajun food, you need to dine at Fishbones, Detroit. Excellent atmosphere and felt homey yet sophisticated. Dress is casual and the place is huge.

Too big, too may tables, too many items on the menu..... Great location near the new sports stadiums in downtown Detroit. Lots of parking, and a short walk to several hotels. It is a very large restaurant, very busy and lots of people moving about. The service was pretty good, but at times our server seemed to be swamped. The menu has too many choices. I was told the food was amazing, but left feeling it was very ordinary. Nothing really stood out, but the value for money was certainly there...every dish we had was HUGE. Probably a good spot for large family gathering

Very poor service, food is equivalent to going to Logan’s steak house at twice the cost. Automatic gratuity on the bill so the staff has zero incentive to give good service.

My husband and I wanted to go back to this place because we had such an enjoyable time about 10 years ago here. Of course, a lot has happened. Covid has happened. However, it was not the same restaurant as before. The same higher prices. My salmon was good. The big waterfall is broken. We had a party of four, so I don’t agree with the automatic 15% gratuity added to my bill. My waitress was a great waitress so we paid her accordingly.

I had such high hopes for this restaurant, the menu looked great so thought we’d give it a try! Never again. The hostess did not seem to care if we at there or not, not friendly at all. Once seated, it took about 20 min just to get water and we were getting a bad feeling about the timeliness of our service. We ordered two drinks, mine never came, she ended up plunking down a can of cider when the food finally came, about 45 min after I ordered the drink. No cup to pour it in, just here here’s your can, drink it. It wasn’t on the menu she didn’t even know how much it was when I asked. We had a question about the sushi menu and she knew nothing about the food, very poor at a higher end restaurant. We ordered our appetizer and food at the same time, it was taking so long for any kind of service. There was supposed to be bread on the table, we had to flag down another server to get one basket. The food took so long we had to eat in about 10 min and take the rest, we had been there for an hour and a half and barely got dinner in that time. No drink refills, no checking in, the food was decent but not worth the money. I’ve been to places with similar pricing and way better food. I would say maybe this is an isolated incident but upon checking reviews after this is how Fishbones in Detroit does business. Please save yourself pain and money—avoid Fishbones.

The food tasted fine, but the service was god awful. Roberto acted like he was on something. He was so out of it and kept forgetting what we asked for and promised things he never delivered. We sat for 45 minutes with no drink refills or anything. We also asked for bread 3 times and never got it and we were his only table. Didn’t even get my appetizers before my meal. It was the worst experience I ever had at Fishbones and because of this I don’t know if I’ll be back. To pour salt in my wounds, I still had to pay a 15% gratuity for horrible service because they included it on the bill. I used to love coming here and never had bad service until today. Long story short, I am super disappointed and will not recommend this restaurant in the near future to anyone.
