What a wonderful afternoon was had by my party of six at the Whitney! It was formal and fancy without being stuffy or fussy. We had two eight. Year old girls with us who thoroughly enjoyed their "tea party " experience. I am a very picky eater and still had enough to eat. The scones and chantilly cream were delicious!... More

We have been there many times and have always enjoyed eating at the Whitney. Last week we had a wedding shower there for my daughter and it was delicious and what a beautiful brunch buffet. Service was great. We had a private room for 26 people and it was so elegant! Great desserts too.

My wife & I had Sunday brunch here and they put on an amazing spread! The amount and quality of food was unbelievable. The dessert room reminded me of a wedding reception with all the options available. Eric Ford was our waiter and this guy not only knows the food but he knows the house and the surrounding area. He... More

I had a lovely afternoon at the Whitney. High tea begins with a champagne tour at 1 pm. Shortly after being seated the champagne is poured. We visited for a few minutes waiting for others to arrive. We were then directed to bring our champagne and make our way to the third floor where our tour would begin. Our waiter... More

This is a solid place to bring friends and visitors. I have been here many times and the food is always very good. The service is impeccable and professional. The atmosphere is in itself worth the trip. I recommend the Sunday brunch along with a visit to the DIA you will find it a perfect date. The place can be... More

I LOVE The Whitney. We returned this time for a tour. We were given a glass of champagne prior to the tour. We began the tour on the third floor and worked our way down. Our guide was terrific. I have been here many times, but the tour really opened my eyes to details that I have missed. It was... More

You don't have to come here to break the bank. You can go up to the ghost bar and have a romantic evening with drinks and appetizers. The room is very old school and reminds me of Downton Abbey! You can feel first class here with out spending like first class!

We initially went for a special they were having where you could have 2 course meal for 29$. Per the staff it is a small portion, consistent with the size of a small lunch and not filling. We elected for a regular meal, and for the price I have had better. The meal was well prepared and the staff helpful... More

Built as the finest stately home in the mid west by an 1880's lumber barron this has been the finest Detroit restaurant for at least 20 years. I have never had a bad meal here. Every entree is really good to excellent and be sure to try the dessrets, especially the key lime pie. Service was really good when we... More

We went for dinner midweek and the restaurant was empty. The building is great but the menu was nothing special , although the dishes were cooked well. Service was mediocre at best and after eating at spectacular places in Detroit with amazing staff we were very disappointed. We were raced through the courses , no bread rolls, and had to... More
