I started going to Xochimilco in 1984, my first year as a cop. It was my 1st time going to a real Mexican restaurant in Mexicantown, it was excellent and I've been to other Mexican restaurants, none come close. I have since gotten married, 3 kids, and its also now one of their favorite places to dine. I've read some... More

My fiance and I went here on an early Saturday afternoon to eat. I haven't been here in years. When I did go I always had to sit upstairs with the overflow. But on this day we were seated on the main floor. Very dim, old style feel. The food was delicious. Chips and salsa are served first. The sangria... More

The food was excellent and the service just as good. I had some sort of enchiladas but with lots of add ons. My wife had some plate that involved black beans and the kids had enchiladas. We really liked the place

Seems to have gone down hill. Building is super old and in need of a total update. Parking lot has huge holes in it. Food was pretty bland. Wait staff was nice. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was really good about checking food regarding my daughter's allergies. Gives you large portions for your money.

Visited here many times and reliable mexican food of all types. Very casual, but good service and excellent bar area for waiting for a table to be available. Located in a rough part of Detroit.

Food quality is ok, but they only have 2 waitresses for a lot of tables, even though, service was ok. I was told that this restaurant was really great, but I have been in better Mexican restaurants in metro Detroit. Atmosphere inside is not pleasant, you feel like you are trapped and everything is very tight.

Summary of a visit in August 2016: Overall, the restaurant is a great choice for Mexican food in Mexican Town in Detroit. It is easy to get to and with parking right next door, easy to get in and out of too. There are a TON of restaurants right around this one, so you won't lack for options if this... More

Been to this restuarant for years. They have great food and drinks. A few of my favorites: the botana, corn tacos, chimichangas, and their sangria. They staff is always nice and professional. This is a must try if you're looking for food mexican.

A bit of a "dive" in that it's not a flashy new place but a must visit. They always serve fresh / hot chips and salsa and they offer pitchers of margarita's. Sometimes I won't even order a meal.

The quality and portions are excellent. My mom and I try to go here as much as possible. Great atmosphere and a Metro-Detroit staple.
