Excellent atmosphere, service and food. Expensive for Detroit so it is not a regular stop but it was a positive experience.

We went there on a Saturday night with a party of 5 and were seated in a booth next to a window overlooking the Detroit River with a beautiful view of the river and Windsor, Canada across the river. Atmosphere was up scale, however the noise level was high, which made casual conversation difficult. Appetizers which included crab balls, tempura... More

Simply amazing, Excellent!!! atmosphere, the staff was very attentive and the food was delightful and succulent. This was my first time to the Motor City and I highly recommend this establishment for fine dining and upscale service.

If this is the best Detroit has to offer in seafood, Michigan is in a sad state of affairs. About the only good thing we had this night was the coconut cake and the chardonnay. Everything else was tragic. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were rubbery and did not taste fresh. I've never NOT wanted to finish a shrimp... More

Friends and I come here once or twice a year for special occasions. We had a day-before-New Year's dinner with our favorite server, Alyssa, who is fun, attentive, just all-around excellent. We ordered a trio of appetizers, crab balls with mustard sauce (like mini crab cakes), shrimp ilene (delicious and garlicky) and scallops Muer, which she expertly split among the... More

We went to Joe Muer's for New Year's Eve dinner and to listen to music. The band was enjoyable and the restaurant was decorated nicely. Service was also very attentive and prompt. We arrived and were seated at a table near the bus stand, close to the main aisle. We asked to be moved but were told that the restaurant... More

The ultimate in steak and seafood very high quality what a wonderful ambiance. People celebrate lots of special events here including getting engaged the staff told me. On my first visit there I did see a couple get engaged. Also a wonderful view of the Detroit River and the Canadian border. I highly recommend dining here.

Had birthday dinner after the Lions game during the big snow storm. Waiter was wonderful. Live piano music was lovely. The salad was below average. Lettuce was poor quality and not what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Dover sole and trout were delicious as was the Barramundi. Overall a good experience, but not the "over the... I think this place is probably tops for seafood in the city. It's always excellent In ambience service and food. I never hesitate coming here repeatedly. The pricing is a bit aggressive but for the quality of the food and the service I'm willing to pay for it.
