More elegant than the late lamented Muer's on Gratiot, the restaurant features peerless views of the Detroit River and Windsor's skyline. The fish is always fresh and the drinks are excellent too.

The Joe Muer's tradition has been preserved and brought back by the Andiamo group with a few modern dishes sprinkled throughout the menu. You can't go wrong with the wedge salad with a traditional dressing. All the fresh seafood items are excellent and it is also a fine place to order steak. They do excellent lobster. They have some of... More

Our party of five had either a steak or lobster tail with steak and everyone agreed, their meal was delicious. Overlooking the water while listening to mellow music being played on the piano, made the atmosphere relaxing. Our waitress Victoria provided great service which is something that's high on my list beside the food. Some may say they are expensive... More

The Muer reputation for great service and consistent excellent food. A good choice anytime, especially for seafood.

We went to Joe Muer for a special birthday dinner with friends at Joe Muer on a Saturday night and were anticipating a fine dining experience. The decor is very nice--a beautiful balance between sophisticated city chic with a nod to nautical which has been done very well, however the acoustics are a real problem. When we arrived it was... We went to Joe Muer's for my birthday. We live about 49 minutes away, but had never been there, because we always seem to try different places. The lady who confirmed my reservation the day before was kind of short with me, so I didn't know what to expect, as far as service. We got seated almost immediately. Our waiter,... More

On my recent visit to Detroit, a colleague took me to Joe Muer's Seafood. He told me that he had been there 45 years ago, and wanted to go again - so, off we went. The place was bustling with activity, and we were seated at a small table looking out toward the Detroit river. Our waiter, James told us... More

Came for Happy Hours special at the bar, so didn't get to enjoy the view as much. Bar Manager seemed very personable and seemed to know the regulars, always a good sign. Got the mussels, very good but not the best I've ever had. Had to request the toasts that it was supposed to come with. Would like to come... More

We have coming here for years. This restaurant is the rebirth of the original Joe Muer's that had been a Detroit Institution for decades. What an excellent selection of food (mostly seafood), great wait staff, and an outstanding view of the Detroit River and Windsor, Ontario. One of our favorite places from around the Detroit Area.

We were in Detroit for a wedding and on Sunday we had time to explore and went to the Renaissance Center looking for fun, it is great place along the river and then we discovered Joe Muer Seafood. The menu looked grand so we decided to check it out. First of all the restaurant has floor to ceiling windows over... More
