My wife and I went here for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Most this was due to the great live jazz but my great ribeye didn't hurt the experience! We sat pretty close to the stage which was a bit loud, but...More

Usually stop here for cocktail or 2 prior to concert or sporting event. This is the best place in the D!! Been around forever and my parents used to meet here in late 50’s when they were still dating.

When thinking about Sunday brunch in Detroit, consider Cliff Bells. Boasting a sizable and varied brunch menu and nearly bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s (they are $1 for refills), the venue also offers live music in the form of a solo jazz pianist to make...More

I am not big into jazz music, but I really liked this place. From the ambience to the drinks, it brings a good different to downtown Detroit. The crowd was not too young or too old. It's a great place to have good drinks, good...More

Brunch: music and ease of reservations and the staff were great.... food was sub par. Eggs Benedict and hash had the same problems: meat was great but that’s where it ended. The poached eggs were hard like zero yolk running, potatoes ok just not much...More

My wife and I stayed at the fantastic Detroit Foundation Hotel and enjoyed an evening at Cliff Bells over the weekend and had a wonderful time. A visit to Cliff Bells is like stepping out of a time machine and going back to the 30s....More

The ambiance of an older restaurant was very well done, but the meat was medium rare just as we like it. My wife had the filet and I had the lobster risotto with mussels, shrimp and a half lobster. All were presented beautifully, and were...More

Popped into this gem for some jazz and martinis, it was amazing. The staff, the atmosphere and the music was great. The only downfall was we wanted more!! We arrived a bit late on a Sunday night but the bar was closing within the hour....More

I think you can bring on the glam at Cliff Bells if you like, it is dressier than the average Going Out On The Town destinations that I have been to. Think "bouncers in snazzy suits" and "hostesses in wicked heels and short... More

If you are just going for drinks, I think sitting at the bar is a good idea. As I recall they had little serving spots for food in between the seats at the bar so it is do-able for appetizers. If you are going to take a... More
