This place is wonderful. Delicious, interesting food, usually pretty good service, lots of local fare - Faygo pop, Better Made chips, definitely on our favorites list.

Nice to see this kind of place popping up in Detroit. The sandwiches are really good. Nice to sit outside on a balmy summer evening with a sandwich, beer, and friends!

Love this place. It is a nice low key place with a great patio to enjoy the nice weather. Food is yummy and I was really happy that I had a few good options being vegan. Pickles are awesome.

Mudgie's was highlighted on the PBS program Under the Radar Michigan so we had to go check it out. Great food, mostly sandwiches, salads, and soups. The first day we went they were having a special on wines. Since our first visit they have expanded to other buildings and have opened up 2 outdoor areas. So glad they are doing... More

This place has been in Corktown for a long time. We went here for lunch on a weekend and there was a wait. They have a bar to hang out and serve some Michigan brews and wines. The seating is tight and the place can get really loud - go for outdoors if available. You can pretty much have or... More

Just ate here, and was pleasantly surprised.. Cool patio area, and 50's indoor dining. Huge menu, both food and beer, many interesting choices. Had a corned beef on rye, partner had the brisket. Wanted to try the basics on first visit. Excellent food, huge portions, but still had to try dessert. Go for the Fudgie Mudgie, huge and a great... More

Love going here when visiting Detroit, although it is in a somewhat out of the way neighborhood I make it a point to stop by and see what I haven't tried yet.

Had to go to Detroit to get emergency Passport and found this little-gem-of-a-sandwhich-shop on the recommendation of a friend. We arrived a few minutes before noon and got a lovely window table, the place was completely full 5 minutes later! On our way out saw they have outside seating in back. Overall, charming and GREAT food!

Mudgies started off as a small venue with great quality non processed foods. Over the past year Greg has expanded his venue to include a bar, take out wine and foods and outdoor patio. The quality, non-processed foods are my draw. Mudgies is now open in the evening which is a great plus.

If you are in the downtown area of Detroit, do yourself a favor and make time for a meal at Mudgie's in Corktown. It is a place oozing with charm, both indoors and in the garden seatings. The main draw is the food, with incredible sandwiches and full entree offerings. I am from Wisconsin, and seeing the familiar Neuske's bacon... More
