Stopped here for lunch. The place has a lot of very cool architectural details. Charming. The exterior is a bit rough, but has lots of potential. There is outdoor seating. The hostess was rather lacking. She just asked "how many?" grabbed the menus and expected us to just follow her. We did, but usually they add a few words indicating... More

Here's another YES vote for Mudgie's. Took my team there for lunch today. Three of us got the Honey Bee - so good. The "chicken fajita salad" is made like a regular chicken salad - bite sized chicken pieces in a mayo dressing - but the dressing is fajita spiced. Great idea. One person had the Guttie and cleaned his... More

This week is lobster week (7/24/16 - 7/30/16). The traditional lobster rolls are only served one week a year. Excellent! Excellent! And, excellent! Expect a line out the door this week. The roast beef, spinach and bleu cheese sandwich is excellent too. Newly added bar is a good addition. Excellent service.

This place is wonderful. Delicious, interesting food, usually pretty good service, lots of local fare - Faygo pop, Better Made chips, definitely on our favorites list.

Nice to see this kind of place popping up in Detroit. The sandwiches are really good. Nice to sit outside on a balmy summer evening with a sandwich, beer, and friends!

Love this place. It is a nice low key place with a great patio to enjoy the nice weather. Food is yummy and I was really happy that I had a few good options being vegan. Pickles are awesome.

Mudgie's was highlighted on the PBS program Under the Radar Michigan so we had to go check it out. Great food, mostly sandwiches, salads, and soups. The first day we went they were having a special on wines. Since our first visit they have expanded to other buildings and have opened up 2 outdoor areas. So glad they are doing... More

This place has been in Corktown for a long time. We went here for lunch on a weekend and there was a wait. They have a bar to hang out and serve some Michigan brews and wines. The seating is tight and the place can get really loud - go for outdoors if available. You can pretty much have or... More

Just ate here, and was pleasantly surprised.. Cool patio area, and 50's indoor dining. Huge menu, both food and beer, many interesting choices. Had a corned beef on rye, partner had the brisket. Wanted to try the basics on first visit. Excellent food, huge portions, but still had to try dessert. Go for the Fudgie Mudgie, huge and a great... More

Love going here when visiting Detroit, although it is in a somewhat out of the way neighborhood I make it a point to stop by and see what I haven't tried yet.
