I had not been to this restaurant in several years and was pleasantly surprised that it has lost none of its lustre.
We had a superb meal in a comfortable setting. We enjoyed excellent service and fine wine. I won't leave so long to visit...More
This is an elegant restaurant but without the uppity feeling of some of the downtown Detroit wannabes. By far the best food preparation downtown. There happy hour (at bar only) is outstanding with a good quality wine at $5 a glass and the food menu...More
We had a great time at Roast before heading to the Opera House for Aladdin. The waitress was very considerate asking if we were going to an event after dinner. She kept things moving along perfectly.

Seemed very much to me like a Morton’s or Sam and Harry’s, with a little quicker service.
Spinach with feta was unbelievably good. Filet comparable. Service a little stiff.
Nice atmosphere. Pricey but not above similar quality restaurants.

A easy walk from either the stop at the GM Renaissance center or the COBO convention center stop. Of course anyone with any type of health issue it may be a bit difficult. I frequently walk from the Renaissance Marriott to COBO so it would be about the same distance from either stop but certainly weather conditions would also be a factor. It depends on your desire for exercise but certainly a great way to walk off some of the calories after your meal.
