Loved the funky interior, and the staff was great. We had a limited amount of time so went with burgers and Mac and cheese which were very good (duck fat fries were outstanding). However, there were several interesting dishes I wish we’d had time to...try. Will certainly be going back.More

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here before the Pistons game last Saturday. We didn’t realize we should make reservations, but since we were there at 4:30pm, we were able to get a table and were out before those who had reservations. The hostess and...server were friendly. The food was delicious! We had regular and sweet potato fries, a regular burger (on a pretzel bun!) and an M43. The food was delicious and the service efficient. We would eat here again!More

I was able to make an online reservation for a group of 4 for a Friday evening just a few hours in advance. The restaurant did fill up so I was grateful for the advantage of a quick reservation. We ordered house made jar of...pickles, the Korean cowboy (super tasty dumplings with smoked brisket), the rock city mac n cheese (added bacon to it, yum), and one person had a burger. Everything was tasty and very satisfying - good portions so much that two of us took to-go boxes. We all ordered different beers, plus they have a $6 shot + beer special that puts any Philly city-wide to shame! Jameson and a Miller High Life - yes, please! Atmosphere was really nice, smaller place than it looked from the outside but it was not cramped. I would go back for sure.More

Started off with a Atwater porter, Java porter, ginger beer, spicy roasted Brussels spouts, Hercules salad, turkey burger with jalapeños, mushrooms and cheddar cheese, chicken enchiladas, GF Mac and cheese with smoked Gouda, wild mushrooms and cheddar. The brussels sprouts were spicy and delicious. The...mac & cheese was also very good, surprisingly good considering it’s gluten-free. The Hercules salad wasn’t bad, just okay. The burger on the pretzel bun wasn’t bad either. The chicken enchiladas were good. It would have been better if my blackened salmon were a bit more cooked through. We ordered 2 of the chocolate caramel pie. The chocolate caramel pie, the Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese were the bests parts of our lunch meal today. The cold air from outside is quite chilling and discomforting, need a curtain or wind breaker of some sort. Need a coat to eat inside.More

Stopped in before a show nearby. It was nearly empty, but filled up fast. Our server was very engaging and attentive. I really liked the Brussels sprouts, and my cheeseburger was very good (they forgot the bacon). the tater tots were good and crispy. Good...beer selection with good prices. I’ll be back to try the mac and cheese.More

Great, versatile food and drink menu. I enjoyed an appetizer, running through the six (poutine) with friends. My main entrée was the Korean Hot Pot. It's aroma was strange but the taste was fantastic. I was full after half the bowl. The only pie available...(which I understood they were known for) was a cookies and cream cheesecake that was excellent but on the heavy side. I had a Maidenhead cocktail that was fruity but not too sweet and a Atwater Vanilla Java porter. The rest of my party reveled in Mac and Cheese and a custom burger with tater tots and craft beers. Minimal, simple rock setting with flattop tables with silverware and cloth napkins. Wi-Fi with password. FREE gated lot parking in the back of the restaurant. Excellent service. Unique restroom. I would definitely return.More

The waitress was inattentive. Had to ask several of the other waitstaff for water, to go box. The dinner was ok; however, both my husband & I had diarrhea the next day, possibly from the chicken enchiladas that we both ordered. Very disappointed in dessert....The place purportedly is known for/was started because of the Rock City pies. Well, there were only 2 choices, cookies & cream and pecan. We ordered the pecan, our daughter ordered a fudge brownie and her friend ordered the cookies & cream pie. The desserts came with one scoop of ice cream. Seemed like it took an inordinate amount of time for the dessert to be served, then when the waitress brought it, she only brought out the brownie and the cookies & cream pie and informed us that they were out of the pecan pie. WHAT? You only have one pie??? And you couldn't have let us know as soon as you took the order back to the kitchen that they were out of it? She had brought out a dish of 4 scoops of ice cream for me which, if I remember correctly, she said was complimentary because they were out of the pie. Regardless we decided to get a fudge brownie in place of the pecan pie. Again it took at least 15 minutes for her to bring it out. Then when she brought the bill I noted that she charged us for the dish of ice cream that we had not ordered. She did end up taking it off. Not impressed at all so we will not be back. Wish we had waited for a table at Selden instead of walking over to Rock City Eatery.More

My coworkers and I went to Rock City for our monthly lunch outing and I really liked the atmosphere. The food was good and our server Whitney was awesome. I cannot wait to visit Rock City again.

Decided to check out this place since we were close based on finding a parking spot. Should have stuck to our first choice across the street perhaps. Ordered the chicken enchiladas and it was served on a black platter - was that black bean paste?...Anyway, they did taste ok, but the appearance left me wondering what I'd actually ordered. The portions were great and I would have taken 2 enchiladas instead of 3 given a choice.More

Amazing food in a really funky room. Waitstaff is exceptional, drinks are delicious, the menu is interesting and the food is great! We usually go a new place every date night, but had to go back (on consecutive visits-less than a month apart).
