Neat little place with a o beach. It is outdoor with tables and umbrella’s. We just got a couple of beers and fries, great service.

good food for snacking, pre prepared drinks like you would see at a boat bar, i would recommend. Easy in and out with access to major event space nearby.

What a cool spot to stop for a drink. There is an outdoor patio with plenty of seating, umbrellas. There is also a beach area with chairs and umbrellas, great for families wanting to sit and chill to have a drink and some food while the kids enjoy playing. There is a beautiful fountain off to the side and it is very lively. Staff were attentive and pleasant. They have a variety of frosty drinks, beers and mixed drinks. They have great bar/pub food at reasonable prices.

Our hotel check in line was backed up, so my brother and I ventured out in search of a drink. We stumbled upon The Fountain. This place is pretty much entirely outside, and has alot of chairs, tables and a small "beach" in the middle. There are also games to play like foosball, ping pong, etc. We sat at the bar where they had a modest beer selection and food menu. The service was good and the nachos we ordered were solid if unremarkable. What's really cool about the Fountain is how unique it is, especially for being downtown. I would come back.

The Fountain was a short walk from our downtown hotel. It is a fun setting by a huge sand pit. Adults could sit in lounge chairs in the sand while kids dug with the pails and shovels. We sat on the deck and ate at a table. A chicken salad wrap and barbecue sandwich were reasonably good and the fries are excellent. This was a nice way to relax after a long day.

Fountain bar sits perched the beach they've built at campus martius. Fun vibes, nice views of downtown and the fountain. Great outdoor spot.

We were wandering the downtown Detroit area and headed up to Campus Martius Park. The Fountain is part of the park and is adjacent to some shaded patio tables and sand pit area (kids were having a great time). We were able to go up to the window and purchase some cold beers and then take them to a table in the park. Caution, however, that there are certain places you can drink alcohol, so ask (or you will be told to move). It was a great spot to stop for half an hour and refresh ourselves before exploring the vendors in the area.

Terrible and despicable customer service through messenger when a patron left behind his prescription glasses. Told he was banned from the restaurant for asking a question. Not sure why and how a small business acted this way toward someone who paid for their food and service. Go somewhere else for a restaurant that actually cares about its customers.

Four of us stopped in for a light lunch and a drink on a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the umbrella shaded patio surrounded by beautiful buildings and we even had a little slice of beach (sandy play area) next to the fountain.
We enjoyed excellent service from the staff and the drinks and food were very good. Great place for anyone downtown on a nice day.

I went to an event held at the Fountain and I really enjoyed the selection of food that they offered for catering. The restaurant portion is actually made out of a shipping container which is really cool and there is a sandpit that simulates the beach complete with sparsely placed, colorful Adirondack chairs. This space is a great venue for summer parties or get togethers and is central to campus martius and the Woodward esplanade.

This was a great place to hang out after work. Fun drinks on the menu especially for out-of-towners. We ordered a bunch of appetizers that were really good. Service staff is very prompt. The location is fun because it's right next to the downtown beach. Music selection was odd, jumping from Beyonce to Bob Marley. Overall a fun experience.

I have been here a couple of times this summer, their menu is quite extensive, considering they operate out of a shipping container. LOVE the salads, innovative, fresh and healthy. Sitting on the BEACH at Campus Martius is so much fun, great people watching too!

Great hospitality. We enjoyed having the opportunity visit the foundation and tour the wonderful reworking of the old fire station. It was great to see much of the original work restored accentuating the new modern feel. Love the video of the hand blown lighting and restoration of the building.

We stopped here for drinks and discovered very friendly wait staff, and cold beer and mixed drinks. Lots of places to sit on the patio or near the sandy playground nearby. Very enjoyable on a sunny day.

Decent food but odd that the waitress didn't know that they didn't have iced tea so when we ordered Arnold palmer's, she had to come back a few minutes later to tell us. My salad was good. The others enjoyed their burgers. It's outside in the elements so nice on a nice day only. Not great for a business lunch. My bad.
