All of our pasta is housemade, our fish is flown in whole, daily , to ensure freshness, our meats are dry aged a minimum of 29 days to ensure great flavor and tenderness. Our service is experienced and professional. Our wine list offers selections to meet every budget and palate. Stop in and see why Andiamo is a step above the rest. Due to our Valet service being closed. There is free parking available for 3 hours at the Beaubien Garage. This garage is located at the corner of Beaubien and Atwater. We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at Andiamo's Riverfront in the Renaissance Center Downtown Detroit and the meal was exceptional. Not only was the food great, but the staff was also attentive throughout the evening and really made the experience memorable. They helped with even the youngest guests and went out of their way to accommodate an out of state family member unable to arrive until late in the meal. All the guests shared positive feedback and comments on the venue, meal and service as well.

My wife and I visited Andiamo Detroit Riverfront for my February birthday. It was absolutely amazing! Best quality food on the planet! The service was great and the late afternoon ambiance was very romantic. Our server was Frankee who went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was a pleasant and memorable experience. Mike, the owner, stopped by our table to ensure our complete satisfaction, too. Overall, this restaurant simply cannot be beat.

Andiamo at the Detroit Riverfront is an Italian fine dining restaurant in the Ren Cen building. They have other locations in the suburbs as well. We’ve been to the Bloomfield Twnsp on previous travels and we were happy to see a location in the Ren Cen where we were staying.
Food is very fresh, delicious and pastas are made in-house. Jordan our server was friendly and offered excellent suggestions of specialty seasonal items that weren’t on the menu.
We started with the calamari that was accompanied by a homemade tomato sauce that had fresh cut basil chiffonades (mini julienne type slice strips). Our salads both house and Caesar were on chilled plates and tasted nice.
We then had the seafood Alfredo. Jordan recommended to have the seafood grilled vs sautéed as it would taste amazing. It was devine! The fresh grilled scallops were huge and cooked perfectly. The shrimps had a Cajun like taste and married nicely with the creamy Alfredo. The generous sweet meat lobster tail was accompanied with warm drawn butter. We also had the Veal Milanese which was lightly breaded, tender and flavorful with roasted potatoes and green beans.
We were so full and although the desert selections looked amazing, we wanted something light. I asked Jordan if they had spumoni ice cream. He didn’t disappoint! That was the best spumoni ice cream I’ve had in ages. Beautiful flecks of kirsch cherry, chocolate ribbons and other bursts of flavor was perfect.
Great place for any occasion or just to treat yourself. Authentic fresh Italian flavors abound! Grazi Andiamo for a beautiful meal!

The three star rating is blended between quality of the food/variety of the menu and the service. The preparation and presentation of the food is wonderful, and the depth of the menu offering is very good. Unfortunately, the service detracted from the overall experience. Andiamo presents itself as upscale and the menu prices reflect that attempted profile. Everything needs to click to satisfy expectations. There were long waits between courses, and the server appeared only mildly informed about the menu items. I can’t say whether part of the issue was under-staffing, but that’s really not for me to figure out. I do know there was more than enough bus staff around and yet dirty dishes remained on the table for way too long. We had leftovers and they were taken from the table for packaging and gone for 25 minutes. I don’t want to lose sight of my food for 25 minutes. Guess what? There was an automatic tip added to the bill at 20% (we were a group of 4) so too bad if you thought the service was sub-par, which it was. My only food related criticism is that for the frutti di marre the pasta was overcooked and it was cut - yikes when it comes Italian cuisine. If I go back it would be for the quality of the food and with a big hope the service issues have been resolved.

Our crew of 4 left the Huntington convention center for a dinner. A easy work over to this place. It has a nice view of the river and Canada; an upscale establishment.
We were seated promptly and our server came by with drink selections, many wines.
Once we received our drinks the appetizer's of calamari and Sausage/peppers came.
The peppers did have some spicy heat. We ordered 3 different dishes. I had the Penne con Gamberoni, shrimp and peas in a Palmina sauce. The chicken parm was good and sea scallops. But the Gamberoni hit us the wrong way. Both of us diners had upset stomachs that evening. Don't know what it was, but, did like it.

I came in here at 8:30pm on Sunday, January 28, 2024. I am planning a future dining event for several local business associates here in Detroit and I simply wanted to look at the menu tonight. When I walked inside Andiamo, there was no one at the host station and so I walked into the restaurant and from the bar area, a lady shouted,“We’re closed!” She then walked over to me and escorted me out. As I was standing outside the entrance to Andiamo, she was facing me and I thought she was going to close the door in my face. I asked her if it’s true that Andiamo closes at 9pm on Sundays and she gruffly responded, “Yes, but the kitchen closes at 8:15.” She walked away from me at that point and I never got a chance to look at Andiamo’s menu. Needless to say, I have no desire to endure this type of unkind treatment again. So, I’ll never return to Andiamo and I’ll take my business elsewhere.

My company had the pleasure of hosting a business dinner at Andiamo Riverfront Detroit October 2023, and it was an exceptional experience. From planning to execution, the staff and organizer were highly professional and helpful in every way. The food and wine selection were abundant, and the recommendations were spot on. Thank you to the Andiamo staff and management for helping to make this event special for our team. I would highly recommend this restaurant - both a charming ambience and delicious cuisine. We will be back anytime we visit Detroit.

There was 15 of us on Saturday 12/10/22 at Andiamo’s in Livonia. Reservations were made back in October and we asked for separate bills the young lady said that wouldn’t be a problem but it was. After a great meal one check was brought. Instead of the Manager saying a mistake was made he said Andiamo’s never does separate checks for large parties. After a DISCUSSION he finally relented. Not a good ending. We won’t be back it’s to bad the food was delicious and the waitress was great.

It was Mothers Day evening and although we booked in advance and arrived a few minutes early, we had to wait to be seated for 20 minutes - and witness in aghast others who arrived later than we did get seated first. A good thing the bartender was chatty and friendly, and that the food attendant assigned to our table was quite warm, attentive, and professional. The food was good and I have to admit the pasta alle vongole was the most generous serving of clams I've ever had in a restaurant (and we've been to almost all Italian ones in Auckland). Andiamo made up for its initial poor service and not having on stock 2 dishes we originally ordered by charging 3 appetizers we had on the house - a welcome surprise when we paid our bill.

I've been here quite a few times, it was a very good restaurant. Came yesterday for dinner, just 2 people and was very disappointed. Only five tables full in the whole restaurant and I seen seven waiters standing around service was horrible waited for everything, food was not good at all not like it usually is. I usually do not complain about anything but on top of all this they charged a 20% gratuity on top of the bill for two people without saying anything. And I don't want to hear anything that it was because of covid that has absolutely nothing to do with it. You would think since they have been shut down so long the service would be extra sharp so people would come back more often. Very disappointed.

Before a performance at the Fisher Theater in Detroit, my wife and I had dinner at Andiamo’s Riverfront in the Renaissance Center. When I made the reservation, Susie was helpful, friendly and gave exact directions where to park and mentioned that the restaurant would validate up to three hours. Our table was ready when we arrived, a booth overlooking the river, and service was quick and professional. Our server, Gabriel, was excellent. He knew every detail of the menu, gave recommendations and told us the pasta is made in-house daily. The meals were superb and the pasta was outstanding. I work in Italy frequently and the food quality at Andiamo’s was similar to the best I’ve had in Rome. A gentleman in a suit came to our table to ask us how the meal and service was and when we told him how exceptional it all was, he revealed himself as the owner, Mike Nowinski. We thanked him, ordered coffee and dessert from Gabriel, and when the bill came, was told Mr Nowinski had paid for the dessert and coffee. We look forward to returning to Andiamo’s and wish the staff all the best.

Ordered breakfast scramble which came with choice of one meat and two vegetables. Asked if I could substitute a 3rd vegetable (onions) for the meat and the server said no. Ridiculous and not vegetarian -friendly.

Stay clear of signature dishes if you visit the DTW airport location!
We saw flight crews eating the burger and salads. I ordered the pizza. Please do not order the pizza. Topping are fine. A cardboard box covered in ketchup would taste better. The issue was overworked dough. Easily fixed if the 'chef' knew what he was doing. I know it is an airport, but know I am starting with a low bar to get over.

We ate here on the second night of our stay in the Marriott Ren Cen, because it was close. The staff was very kind to find us a table (instead of the "high-tops" where you sit on a stool at a high-up table) right next to the window so we had a nice view of the Detroit River. Our waiter was a little unsure, having been there only two weeks, but he did his best. The food was truly outstanding, of course there was too much of it as usual in the US.
We had a great Amarone wine that was not overpriced, served in a carafe which I didn't expect in a somewhat informal American restaurant.
Be aware that they add 20% to the tab for service charge. That doesn't bother me, coming from Europe, but you need to know.
I would definitely eat here again.

Very extensive menu and wine list. Tasty entrees and a lovely spot on the river in downtown Detroit. Attentive service from Jordan, too, who knew the menu and offered helpful selections. Outside patio dining is picturesque but can be noisy, even loud with passing motorcycles, car, and trucks. My entree—strozzapreti with sausage and broccoli rabe was delicious, even though it came with regular broccoli and not rabe. Strozzapreti is also misspelled on the menu.
