We had lunch there. It was an interesting experience and well thought out. The atmosphere is fun and the servers very gracious. The menu attempts to replicate a meal from the 19th century and has several interesting choices. I had the chicken and corn chowder, which was a meal in itself and I'm glad I didn't order a main course... More

This is an experience recommended for all. It offers menus from the past and communal eating tables. While dining, the staff will provide historical facts about the building and the menu. It is a lot of fun but if you are shy or not comfortable trying new dishes or sitting with strangers, it may not be for you.

Stepping back into time to taste the dishes of history. The staff are all dressed in period clothing. It is set up as it would have been back then with tables in long rows. It would give you the opportunity to chat with someone you didn't know. The food is a bit pricey, but the meal is large enough that... More

I went with low expectations of being able to eat anywhere in Greenfield Village, since I have celiac and multiply food allergies, but I wanted to at least sit with my family while they enjoyed the historic ambiance of the Tavern. So I was very surprised when our server not only understood my concerns, but was able to make suggestions... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal with his sister and our brother-in-law while visiting Greenfield Village. The menu had 1800 era food (trout, pork, chicken for the main dishes with various breads and vegetables.Food was simple but delicious. Servers were dressed in period clothing. The decor is as if it was a stagecoach stop in the 1800's. We'll... More

We went here for the Holiday Nights dinner - absolutely charming! Food was delicious, real feel for Christmas in the 1800's. This was an expensive night for a family of 4, but my boys really enjoyed it!

Greenfield Village has been a dream of Gin's for over thirty years. She planned the trip and Berry was glad to follow her directions. After spending a few minutes with the very helpful information desk at the visitor's center we proceeded to buy our tickets. The ticket agent was also quite helpful and when asked for a lunch suggestion she... More

Well, the food was decent, not great, but decent. I had a club sandwich. Minimal bacon on it but that is the standard these days. Again, if it were not inside the museum, I'd say it was not very good.

My wife had chicken and I had trout. The chicken was a little dry. The trout was pretty tasty. Don't expect any tarter sauce. Several kinds of bread are served with butter and jam. The sides are what's in season. We had brocalli and potatoes. The service was great and the food was good.. All in all we had a... More

Had the opportunity to eat here as recommended by the tour guide. The food was dry and overpriced for what we got. $52.00 for lunch
