We did not eat at the tavern, we just had some old style drinks while taking a break from walking around in Greenfield Village. These people working here play the part of life in 1850.

What an unexpected treat. Candle light at lunch, delicious food, interesting facts and great service. While visiting Greenfield Village, how nice to have an adult drink, great food as was served in the late 1800's. A nice respite n a hot day. So delightful.

We very much enjoyed our food. Buns and cornbread delicious. Kids had mac n cheese on kids' menu and savory noodles with tomatoes and greens from main menu; adults had mulligatawny soup-- a chicken stew which was more than enough for lunch. Adults--who had had more than enough from kids--had mint julep and half-strong planters punch and enjoyed those particularly.

You'll find wonderful and attentive service in this historic tavern that Henry Ford himself bought and increased in size. The furniture is appropriate as is the candlelight and natural lighting from the windows. Your meal will be accompanied by rolls, muffins ,fresh preserves and butter. There were also pickled vegetables appropriate to the era. We had chicken with cherry sauce with... More

The experience is 1850 down to the girl greeting at the door. Craft beer highly recommended. I had the sausage and stewed cabbage, absolutely delightful. Bill for 2 including 2 beers including tip was 54. More than standard pricing unless someone eats fast food. Highly recommend this place.

Eating at the Eagle Tavern is a must when visiting Greenfield Village. They faithfully create the atmosphere of the time-period (with a few exceptions). A fun visit.

The service was superb, but the food left a lot to be desired. When our server came to check on us we told her that the chicken was so dry it was like eating sawdust (the sauce helped some, but still not good). She commiserated, offered us a chance to have something else (it was too late for that and... More

This place was wonderful from the moment we arrived. We were greeted on the front porch by a gentleman dressed in traditional 1830's colonial attire, asking if we were interested in dining. We said we were here for lunch, and he responded "I do not understand that word, lunch". That was the tone of this flashback to the colonial days... More

Ate lunch at The Eagle Tavern....it is very much work the time to visit. An early American setting is accompanied by excellent food and service. There is a good kid menu too.
