Booked here last minute and did not regret it. We were greeted when we arrived and were shown to an area with comfy sofa where we relaxed with a drink while choosing from the menu. The service could not be faulted as the food arrived promptly and the staff were polite and attentive. The food and atmosphere were great and... More

We booked last minute on a Saturday night for 9pm, very accommodating, fantastic food and service. Will definitely go back and will be spreading the word! Well done The Shropshire Inn? You got it right!

Good service, nice menu but for what they served it was overpriced. Main meal portions were worth their price but the starters were rather small and the deserts smaller still.

This is a beautifully decorated Pub with exceptional gardens we recently had dinner there, the food was a little disappointing and over priced for what you get, The service was good but we spent nearly £200 and was not all that impressed.

First impressions as we walked through the door were very nice and contemporary. Greeted straight away and shown to our table, which was very nice too. Service excellent and so was the food. We all opted for the special menu ie spiced hake or scallops with chorizo sausage etc both were delicious. The only thing we were surprised at was... More

Very nice interior, staff attentive, food good but not excellent as I was expecting. We were excited by the twice cooked chips but sadly they were clearly frozen :( One other small thing the home made tartar sauce was a little on the meagre side. That aside the pub/restaurant is very nice and appealing.

First visit- really nice menu. Had the most delicious two courses each- beetroot cured salmon, pork terrine, duck with rhubarb and blade of beef- everything delicious. Shared a scrumptious brownie with homemade white chocolate honeycomb. Only small annoyance was that soft drinks were so expensive at £3.10 for pint of blackcurrant and lemonade (village location makes driving a must for... More

We've tried this place twice now and each time the food has been no more than average. The customer service was excellent. If the food matched the customer service we'd visit again...

Visited for Sunday lunch, and were not disappointed. Cheerful greeting and shown to lovely table. Service was good and we opted for the carvery. Meat was tender and a great selection of vegetables, everything very tasty. Delicious eaton mess for dessert. A great experience !

Visited for birthday celebration meal and took advantage of the two steaks and drinks for £25 which was an added bonus as we did not know about the offer prior to visit. As it was a warm pleasant evening many guests were seated outdoors, however we chose to eat indoors in a well laid out comfortable dining area. Staff were... More
