We were very happy with our food and their building was awesome to view with many unique paintings. We felt like we were royalty and the food was perfect. The sirloin tips was as tender as could be and the display of the other foods...on the plate was like I had my own personal chef make my meal for me. This restaurant was the best one that I have ever been in and I eat out a lot. This will be the best experience you will get in a restaurant.More

Our family went up north to ride through the Tunnel of Trees and stopped here for breakfast. We were seated by Barb the co-owner and chef and her husband Beau made sure were were happy with our experience. Barbie was our server, she gave us...details about each dish we ordered and we could tell she was proud of the food she served us. The food was AMAZING and the cafe itself was beautifully done. We will make this a family tradition!More

WHAT A FIND! DELICIOUS dishes and a WONDERFUL experience!! So glad we left the Legg’s line to give it a try. Owner and his wife from Poland were awesome and so attentive from moment we arrived. Everything made to order. Restaurant itself was gorgeous. Prices...very reasonable for the quality of the food. I had the Alfredo with chicken breast. The most creamiest I’ve ever tasted. My husband had the beef tips with mushrooms, vegetables and rice. Flavors were so good. We had the cabbage soup with filet minion. It was so filling. Took half of it home and it was just the “cup” size. Would visit here regularly with family and friends if we were local. You won’t regret it!!More

Our server was fun, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was SO good. My husband always puts ketchup on fried potatoes but said these were so good that he couldn't insult them with ketchup. The chef makes the sauces and even the Farmer's cheese in the...crepes. They offered to make something special for me due to dietary restrictions, but I found something on the menu that worked for me (and was delicious). Would absolutely eat here again.More

My son had the pancakes, which were absolutely delicious. I ate a bit chink of it myself, and I don't even like pancakes. I ordered the eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce with a biscuit and bacon and I could not believe how good all the...food was, especially the sauce. On top of that, the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. We ate outside but the indoor space is incredibly elegant and clean. I wish it was close to home so I could go back again and again.More

My Aunty said she knew the best place to eat while on a day trip. I would like to thank Barbara and Barb for a fabulous dining experience. My Aunt would not share a taste of her jam. She did I should have followed her...lead. I ordered a panini and was not disappointed. The cream of mushroom soup was amazing. I would go back just for that. The decor was stunning. The staff were wonderful. Fully masked and safe seating. This was worth the money. I loved looking at the paintings and honestly was waiting to see an old world Italian come across the balcony.More

Not as well known as Leggs Inn but worth the visit. Food was freshly prepared from scratch. Very cool interior.

My friends and I decided to drive up to see the Tunnel of Trees while visiting northern Michigan. At the top of the tunnel is the famous Leggs Restaurant for which one may wait an hour and a half to get seated. At a certain...point we decided to just go across the street to the Old World Café and were very pleasantly surprised. Barbara, our waitress, could not have been kinder or more helpful. The female owner was very nice as well. The coffee was delicious and the food, even better. (Paninis & salads, delicious!) We highly recommend you try Old World Café, it was a very pleasant dining experience!More

My husband and I lucked upon this beautiful cafe. Old World Cafe, it was truly the best food we have ever had. Barbara and Patrick we so very nice and shared stories and asked about where we were from. The owner was also there, she...was very lovely. If you ever go through Cross Village Michigan you most make this a stop.More

I think their hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm but they could be changing due to winter and I believe they plan to serve dinner soon. To be sure you can give them a call at (231)526-6992.
