Nice place for a craft beer

I visited CJ's on a weekend that I was house sitting for my daughter. I sat at the outside bar on the patio and had a couple beers and ordered onion rings as well. The beer was very good and the onion rings arrived very hot and fresh which was a nice change from some bars that do not always serve them so hot and fresh. They also give a large portion and they were very good. Next time I go I will go for lunch or dinneras the food that was being served all looked good. Very nice place and atmosphere , I will be back for sure.

A Must Try

Went on a Friday night. Placed was packed but we were seated right away. We both had an American Wheat beer, which was tasty. Ordered a small pizza and fish and chips (which were all you can eat on Fridays). Food arrived fresh and hot. excellent waitstaff as well. First visit. Will be coming back. Specials daily

We stopped in because he received the Hops Passport for Christmas and this place is in there. We ordered the Octoberfest and IPA. Both were excellent. Our service was wonderful and the place, bar area, was pretty full for an early Sunday afternoon.

Best fish???

I had their fish and chips tonight. The fish was 2 thick cuts but still juicy. However the batter was too thick and crunchy and not tender. I have had better for 17 bucks. The side salad was enough for a small child.

Nice building

CJ's has a nice, newer, building in Commerce township, with lots of seating, and an open-air ceiling. Unfortunately, the open ceiling design made it very loud inside. The jalapeno popper appetizer here was very good. The beer during our stay was marginal. While our server was friendly, she really wasn't knowledgeable at all about the beer, and we ended up with a couple of less-than-stellar drafts.

Best pizza and service

It is a busy place and your servers go above and beyond. Definitely our favorite go to in all of metro detroit. The Best Happy Hour around M-F 3-6 Thank you Bill and all the staff. You definitely make Michelle and I feel like family.

Number 3 place is Commerce? R U KIDDING ME?????

Just happened to be looking for a place to go on Labor Day 2020, and noticed this ranking. TripAdvisor is usually pretty good, but on this one - NO F'ING WAY!!! I own a business right around the corner. This is absolutely one of the most convenient places to go. For years, I've worked on Sunday nights - finding a decent place that is open (for carryouts) in Commerce is not easy...this isn't exactly downtown Chicago! We probably tried this place about 20 times before just giving up. The girls at the front desk with just plain imbeciles. I don't know how you screw up a hamburger with lettuce and mustard, and a salad (generally what we ordered), but they did it...scores of times! I even had the manager tell me, "Just call me from now on...since they obviously can't get it right." But she either left or was fired. If you want to go to a bar, or need a beer, I suppose this place is as good as any other dive bar.... But if you want GREAT food and good service, go next door to Jennifer's. Not sure where Trip Advisor ranks them, but anyone who lives in Commerce knows that Jennifer's is the NUMBER ONE SPOT!

Great Place to Eat

Worth trying!

Went for dinner and enjoyed CJ's. IPA and drinks were good. Great service, even though it was busy. Food was hot and tasty. Nice atmosphere, clean and enjoyable staff. Definitely worth checking out!

Always Good Food

Visit every Few months as food and service is always consistent. Love the ribs and my partner enjoys the burger or sometimes the short ribs. We normally eat here on a Saturday or Sunday late lunch so we miss the rush. It’s one of those places we just go back to. Haven’t got anything bad to say.
