About
SOW is first and foremost a BBQ joint. We slow-smoke our meats with various fruit woods and maple wood in our smoker that sits right outside the restaurant. We pride ourselves in serving made-from-scratch food, including our own Challah bread used in our Drunken French Toast. We deliver to all downtown businesses and the marina. We are located next to Hoffman Park which overlooks the channel, come in and borrow a blanket for a picnic.

We were so excited to learn that everything is homemade and they know a lot about food allergies. We safely ate there twice and loved it!!! The food was amazing. We highly recommend stopping in. The staff was so friendly too!

Picked SOW based on location to ferry to Beaver Island and reviews on Trip Advisor. The reviewers were spot on. The food was deliciously delicious. The lemon curd pancakes and salmon Benedict were both gushed over with every bite. Coffee was excellent which, in my...opinion, is usually where good restaurants fail. We went to SOW to meet our friends from Ireland who we hadn’t seen since 2019. We were chatting and still drinking coffee after the plates had been cleared and were lightly guilted into leaving because we had moved one of our two tables to be next to the bigger table.More

Excellent! Go here! Wanted to try Grandmothers’s Table but - BUT - and I was warned about it - posted hours on website is not reliable and they closed early. SOW is right next to and my girlfriend and our lunches today were DELICIOUS! The...Grilled Brie Sandwich was AMAZING! The Smoked Brisket Dip - yes please. Service was exceptional. It was so good that we returned the following three mornings. We had the bacon jam omelet, breakfast sandwich, smoked brisket hash and croissant blt. We are going back tomorrow for the drunken French toast (a must). Definitely worth the wait.

Loved this place. We went to breakfast based the recommendation of a friend who had recently been in Charlevoix for a wedding. This cute little place on the side street just South of the bridge had a nice selection on traditional breakfast options. The food...was well prepared and Delicious.More

We were in town for a small family gathering, and we had a party of 8 looking for some brunch. After reading the reviews and studying the menu online, we all decided that this was the first place we'd like to try. I called ahead...to see about reservations or a wait list, and someone answered the phone and politely explained that they may not have seating for all 8, but they could easily accommodate 2 tables of 4 and even try to seat them close to each other. We weren't in the mood to shop around, so we were satisfied with the solution. After a short commute, we easily found free parking on the street out front and were able to walk right in to available seating. We did have to stand and wait a minute for the tables to be washed, but we weren't in a rush, so we stayed patient. We were able to slide 2 tables together, and our server quickly dropped off menus and disappeared. The eating area was cozy. We were in a small side room that could easily handle 4 or 5 small parties. It felt a little loud and hectic at first, but everyone in our area just settled in and enjoyed each other's company. I'm not sure if our server was very experienced. She was spunky and sweet, but she seemed to really struggle with some of the basic demands of serving in a restaurant. We had to ask for water, silverware, and coffee refills. She just wasn't very efficient. We waited a good 30 minutes for our food, and the first 4 orders were delivered 5 minutes before the final 4 orders. Again, we weren't in any hurry, so it was fine, but it was just a little odd to us. In the end, the food tasted incredible, and we were very satisfied with what we ordered and the value for what it cost. We would have a appreciated a few more Gluten Free options just because 3 members in our party are Celiac, but we were able to find plenty of options on the menu that were obviously safe, so it was really fine in the end. I can see why folks discovering Charlevoix recommend this cute little spot off the main drag. The food was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. If you're ready to relax over a plate of good hash, I strongly recommend giving this place your attention.More

Don't bother waiting if you don't like excellent food. Visited this place for the first time on a snowy ,rainy blustery cold October day and enjoyed a cozy seat at the window while we devoured an excellent breakfast. Wife had the pulled pork omelet, I...had the smoked brisket benedict, we washed it down with fresh oj and excellent coffee. Be sure to try the inhouse made ketchup/bbq/dipping sauce it's fantastic I liked it so much I promised to buy the first bottle of it whenever they get around to producing it.More

Ate outside at a small table on a beautiful morning in August. They were busy and we had a wait. They took our cell number and texted once a table was available. About 30 minutes. We wandered some great shops nearby. Food and service was...great! I know they're known for smoked meats but we ate Eggs Benedict and omelets. Definitely will stop here again.More
